Can we just take out the time to say how awesome this frikken tee is!? Everytime I come back home to Jamaica, I always try to get these types of clever printed tees with subliminal messages. The one I'm wearing says "Hangin' With My Buds" which basically could have two meanings. To be honest, green isn't really my favourite colour to wear at all however, I pulled out this black and green number like a Hi-bred ninja turtle hahaha. You can see my hair colour a lot better in these photos and I have to say...I'm slowly growing to love it more and more. I have a few more posts of looks I wore in Jamaica coming up this week....feeling so sad that today is actually my last day here but it was a great short trip.

So I finally get to update you guys on my vacationing back home in Jamaica! I'm so happy to be back, and I forgot how much I missed not being in the busy city life. This outfit is probably one of the more grungy looks I've worn so far since being in Jamaica and I have to say my most favourite part of this look is the shorts! This is actually my first time wearing high waisted cut off shorts and to be honest, I've sworn to myself I'd never wear them but I have to say these are such an amazing fit! They're from Nasty Gal and I absolutely love the front zipper detail of it. Also, I changed my hair color like a day after arriving here and it's now like burgundy/red at the top and more of a dark brown at the back....Love it! I'll take better pics of it and upload them as soon as I can. It's really hard to update here but I'll try as best as possible.

Recently, I recognize that I've been wearing a lot! of blue ensembles and I promise it really isn't intentional and is purely just coincidence...I guess blue is the new black? hahaha anyways, this is actually one of my most recent looks that I wore a few days ago and I really love the sort of play between an oversized jacket and a high waisted shorts. It really gives the look a really nice asymmetry especially with the layering of my chained top underneath this sheer vintage blue top. I also decided to wear my new kitti shades from Zero UV and I absolutely love them! My last cat-eye shades got broken and so these new ones are a really great replacement. I'll try to wear a little less blue tones from now on so I don't kill you will blue boredom, although I'm really loving the blue on blu combinations for summer.

I had vow never to wear any sort of overalls ever again mainly because I don't like to follow things that are too much on trend and I'd rather come up with my own sort of "ideal look". However, I have to say I somehow have not been able to sell this beauty to the thrift store as yet because I don't think I'm ready to part ways with it and I feel like I could do so much more styling with it before I trade it in for some $$$. I think the main reason that I love this specific overall so much is because of its ombre effect of the denim blue fading into white, which makes this look have a strong summer vibe. I chose to wear a black mandarin collar top underneath, that somehow reminds me of the cute mandarin collars that Jason Wu did on his knee length dress for Fall 2012. I also wore my black Deandri hansel wedges that I absolutely adore but to give the overall look some depth, I decided that I should wear one of my distressed sheer tights, which pretty much made the outfit look like the right amount of grunge that I wanted it to be. I'm preparing to leave for Jamaica in a few days so I'm gonna try to sho as much outfits here in NY before I leave and I'll also be updating you on the everything that I wear in Jamaica. I've pretty much always wanted to do a post that was a little more "editorial-esque" rather than my usual street style shots. I finally got to do it after so long and I have to say...I really love the way the pictures came out. Yes, of course it's a little more on the grungy side but I guess that's kind of the main reason why I love it so much. I wish I had some sort of story line behind this post but I really just wanted to capture shots that looked like it came out of a flashback of old 90s lookbooks. This is a look I wore a couple about a week ago and totally forgot I took pictures of it and I'm so glad I found it in my archives because totally I loved this look! I've always been obessessed with all-over print tees and this one from Chicwish is currently my favourite one, mainly because it's black and gold (i loveee black and gold combinations). I wanted to capture a dark, romantic, sort of soft grungesque vibe ....so I decided for a change, I'd pair the tee with something long and flowy like this beautiful dress I got from BCBG a longg time ago (the picture does it no justice).
