Dusted off my good ol' hansel wedges, after not wearing them since early summer.

Over the weekend I took some time for myself to walk around the area, like I always do and why not stomp around in the cold in crazy platforms?? Okay so technically, it wasn't that cold because clearly I was able to wear my turtleneck top as a cropped top by simply folding it under. I really didn't like the original length of it and it was way too bulky to tuck into my skirt so I tried my best as possible to fold it under for a midriff look. Turtlenecks are so great for the fall/winter because they give this very sleek vibe while keeping you warm and comfortable. I went for my usual 90s aesthetic and wore my high waisted tartan skirt with very minimal accessories because I wanted to keep it clean and simple. I'll try to do more posts like these, where I can share snippets of the places I go before/after I shoot my outfits. Have a great week!

I've pretty much always wanted to do a post that was a little more "editorial-esque" rather than my usual street style shots. I finally got to do it after so long and I have to say...I really love the way the pictures came out. Yes, of course it's a little more on the grungy side but I guess that's kind of the main reason why I love it so much. I wish I had some sort of story line behind this post but I really just wanted to capture shots that looked like it came out of a flashback of old 90s lookbooks. I few weeks ago, I went thrift shopping with one of my friends from my internship and I found this beautiful just hanging on the rack waiting for me to take notice. I've always wanted a midi length plaid skirt but everyone that I tried just wasn't exactly what I was looking for and the color was always off, but I'm so happy I found these because it's like a wrap skirt and it has these cute little pleating on the sides. Plus, though I'm not usually a fan of wearing green...I don't think I can get over how great the blue, green and red of the skirt works so well together. Ultimately, before I even got the skirt, I always pictured myself wearing it with a high neck cropped top but was never sure of what shoes to style it with. However, when reality strikes, I decided to dust off my old tardy boots and it worked perfectly with the whole look. I'll be having lots of fun styling these skirt so I can't wait to share my ideas here on the blog. Happy July! and have a great week
