I've pretty much always wanted to do a post that was a little more "editorial-esque" rather than my usual street style shots. I finally got to do it after so long and I have to say...I really love the way the pictures came out. Yes, of course it's a little more on the grungy side but I guess that's kind of the main reason why I love it so much. I wish I had some sort of story line behind this post but I really just wanted to capture shots that looked like it came out of a flashback of old 90s lookbooks. So you know how much I love wearing black and white looks and this was a totally unplanned black and white look I came up with last minute after being unable to find anything to wear that day. I've had this long sleeve white blouse with the faux leather collar for the longest time and I believe I only wore it once on the blog (Previous Post) and I didn't really like the fit of the sleeves at all. It was big and no matter how much I'd ironed it, it would still get so crushed really easily because it was always  wobbling all over the place so, because of that, it's been sitting in my closet ever since up until the day I decided to take a scissor and chop the sleeves off like I do with most of my tops with sleeve hahaha I'm evil. I have to say, I like the very imperfection of the way the sleeves were cut which gives it a very grunge feeling. I didn't want to button it up because I wanted to add something graphic underneath so what better way to do that, than to wear my super hero tee! To tight the look together, I wore my faux leather skirt to match the leather collar on the blouse. I've developed this love for ankle length pants with socks and grunge boots like my T.U.K creepers or Jeffrey Campbell roscoe boots. There is just something interesting to me about that styling pants in sort of a quirky way with socks, so look out for more post with me styling with coloured crazy socks. This outfit is more of a look I'd wear to run around the city doing errands or to grab a quick lunch. It's very easy to wear, and still very true to my very eclectic style. The sunglasses I'm wearing actually one of the craziest I own and at first I thought it was quiet ridiculous to wear since its way bigger than the frame of my face but its sort of growing on me andI'm wearing it a lot more. I received it earlier this week from an online store called Gypsum Style they literally have the coolest sunglasses ever! and as much as I get most of my sunglasses at Zero UV and will always love them, I think Gypsum Style is online great stop if you're ever looking for unique sunnies especially now since it the Summer Time! New York's weather has been the most annoying thing ever and is really unpredictable but I vow not to go back to wearing thick winter coats until at least december hahaha. Finally, I can post a new look on my blog! it's been killing me inside of how deprived I was these past few days when I didn't get the chance to post. I'm finally all moved into my apartment and my finals are completely over and now its summer! so what better way to start off the summer than to pair maxi skirts with everything! I love a good maxi skirt especially clever interesting ones like the one I'm wearing in this blog post. I pretty much have been wearing this skirt so often with black and white high neck crop tops, muscle tees, and loose sheer tops. I decided to share with you the way I style it with loose sheer tops, I basically tuck in the blouse into the skirt so that I can have a more cleaner look and form an illusion to make my bottom half look longer. Even though I love maxi skirts, I feel like the look can't be complete without looking elongated and since I'm like I'm short I have to just work around it and try to find ways of forming illusions. I'm back to regular posting and I have so much looks to share with you that I've been wearing so stay tuned for that.

Sunshine On A Cloudy Day

Finally I get to post this look that I wore sometime last week when I went out on a dinner date with my sister, but because I've been so busy with finals I never got around to posting it. I'm head over heels with these bright yellow pants that I bought years ago from a boutique I use to shop at regularly back home in Jamaica. Somehow, I bought these pants and never found the right time to actually wear it so I stared and gushed over it for years until I finally coughed up the courage to finally style them. Yellow is usually not a colour I'd jump for joy about wearing, especially a bright yellow like these pants but I feel like it's a perfect pop colour to brighten up an outfit so I went very simple with all the pieces I styled around this pants by wearing a high neck black crop top, which allowed the colour of the pant to be the main subject of the outfit. Of course, I added my bohemian inspired fringe kimono as an accent detail and mainly because I haven't been about to take it off ever since I bought it. As you may know I sprained my ankle about two or three weeks ago so I've been wearing a lot of flats but I can't wait to start back wearing my platforms once I'm feeling 100%better.
