Reckoning Stair
Just another Saturday, chilling on my Brooklyn rooftop.
Top- Forever 21
Shorts- Similar
Shoes- Jeffrey Campbell Coltrane
Cat eye Necklace- Glow Worm Shop
I spent most of the past weekend relaxing with some much needed meditation. I feel like rooftops are always sort of the best getaway place to just look out at the world around you and think, and that just what I did on the day I snapped these photos.
This ensemble to pretty much a mash up of pastels which is always the perfect colors to wear for a warm Summer day…the top is one I never really thought I'd ever wear mainly because the print is a little more on the bohemian side than I'd usually wear. However, I surprisingly ended up loving it and came of with many ways styling it for the Summer. In this instance, pairing the top with a cute pure white lace shorts seemed fitting as it was unbearably hot and the white makes for a good complimentary touch against all the colors of the top. All summer long, I've been battling in-between wearing colors and wearing a usually all black attire…I really do try to push myself to explore new color combinations so that I won't regurgitate the same thing on my blog over and over again.

Unrequited Love
Casual Fridays.
Peasant Top- Vintage
Lace Blouse- Express
Boots- Coltrane by Jeffrey Campbell
Necklace- Nasty Gal
It's funny how I've been finding all these lost treasure in my closet since packing everything up to move out of my current apartment, for example this vintage peasant top that I've had for so long but somehow reappeared one day. I love tops like these because there is something so delicate and feminine about it that makes it so perfect for experimenting with. I could see myself dressing up this top for maybe a date, dinner or a night out with friends likewise, it's that piece that can easily transition into a daytime look.
Since I've been so obsessed with wearing lace lately, I thought that wearing this buttoned up lace top from Express as like a short sleeve cardigan would add so much more depth and detail to this look and it light enough for a hot summer's day...definitely going to be wearing this black lace top a lot this summer. I kept it pretty casual with my favourite pair of chunky boots and ankled length pants because I somehow always pull for boots when all else fails!

Johnny Ramones
Johnny Ramones Band Tee- Forever 21
Shorts- Nasty Gal
Coltrane Boots- Jeffrey Campbell
So I'm finally back in the groove of things here in New York...my trip back home in Jamaica has been really great but I was kind of missing not being able to blog as much as I use to. This is one of the last looks I shot while being in Jamaica, wearing one of my main go-to looks. I wore a Johnny Ramones band tee tucked in one of my favourite black shorts. I wore a white faux leather and sheered vest over this ensemble, to add a bit of depth to the overall look...plus the black and white constrast always seems so beautiful to me. I pulled for my coltrane boots for this look to add a more edgy detail...with tiny gold accents here and there. I'll be back to showing more Winter looks since I'm back in the freezing cold of New York. Anyways, I hope you have a lovely week!

Hazey
Just sharing a quick post of this look I wore a couple weeks ago. I was coming from a long day of classes and the walk to my apartment from school is was cold but somehow very sunny. I was dressed very casual in a bright blue jumper and dark pants with my coltrane boots. This is pretty much the way I dress on a lazy day, especially whenever I have morning classes. I have so much to get done today so, I'm off! Enjoy your day ♡

Always Darkest Before The Dawn
Blouse- H&M
Burn-out Velvet Kimono- Forever 21
Shoes- Jeffrey Campbell Coltrane
Tobacco Brown Vest- Vintage
Pants- Zara
Casual Friday look for an extremely cold day in New York. I think is probably the first time in a very long time I'm sharing a post with me in a scarf...but trust me, there was no way I was going outside without some type of scarf. I also wore a thick coat along with this ensemble. I can't wait to go back to the warmth of Jamaica in the next two weeks. In this post, I'm wearing a lot of loose fitting pieces that makes this look very laid back and comfy for navigating back and forth to classes. I love days like these when I can slip into something very airy and loose, but still feel very pulled together.
