Nevermind

My usual all grey palette which is always a major go-to for me.

Sweater- Forever 21
Beanie- Zara

This post was from a few months back in the Fall, when it wasn't as cold as it is now....I was complaining about the weather then but I definitely wish I could go back to that time because its even colder now.
Anyways, I just wanted to share this look with you when my friend and I was playing around with the camera and then decided that this would make a great blog post. I know I've posted a tremendous amount of all grey outfits in the past but its too good for me to pass up...especially when I want to find something quick and easy to wear.
I consider this look to be a pretty simple, laidback attire mainly because it's what I'd wear on a quick run around the city for errands or so. I'm wearing this warm chunky knit sweater paired with a tailored and almost "work" inspired pants. I threw on my oversized neoprene jacket and some comfy boots but I could definitely see myself styling this look with some cute heels and a leather biker jacket.
Let me know what you think!

Pale Skies

Sweater- Forever 21
Vest- H&M
Shoes- Miista

Just giving a quick post on a look I wore on a snowy day. Strange enough, it was snowing but not very cold so I just wore a chunky sweater and over oversized faux leather vest with some tight skinny pants. Of course I was wearing a scarf but for the purpose of the shoot I decided not to show it because it would cover the delicate beauty of the sweater.

I'm actually surprized that I haven't worn  this vest sooner this season...but it came out at the right time because its so useful when you want to feel warm and comfy but not uncomfortable with a thousand layers. I like to go very minimal in the jewelry area during the winter months, only because I usually have to wear gloves and necklaces seem unnecessary if there's a huge scarf covering it.

Take Off From The Start

Casual moments in Williamsburg is the one things I look forward to on weekends.

Fuzzy Sweater- Similar
Pants- Nasty Gal
Biker Jacket- Similar

I finally decided to take this awesome biker jacket for a stroll about two weekends ago during the leisure time I spend vintage browsing and store gazing in Williamsburg. This whole year, comfort has become a major element in my wardrobe. So, I've been wearing pieces that can easy fit with each other that doesn't quite take too much time deciding in the mornings on what to wear.
For this look I wore my warm and fuzzy top that I'm completely obsessed with because it's literally the softest thing in my closet right now. Because it's pure white it exhumes such a clean and fresh vibe hence, I went along to pair it with something a little more on the edgy side which is the plaid pants.
This ensemble is a bit more of what I usually like to wear when ever its not too freezing outside, as I am able to wear just a biker jacket and be good for the day. I kept it pretty simple for the accessories mainly because I wanted it to just be a more breathable and slightly simple look.

Eager Eyes

Casual days. Yes, I'm wearing jeans.

Sweater- H&M
Boots- Zara

I was a bit reluctant to post this look, mainly because it's so far fetched from my usual style and I was feeling super lazy the day I got dressed. However, I decided to just go ahead and share because I feel like everyone has one of those off days plus sometimes it feels good to dress down a little.
I believe I shared these mom jeans here on the blog once before during the Summer so, this time around I'm styling it in a more Fall attire with a bit of a bohemian/hipster inspired vibe.
This look was worn for a full day of classes and I was super comfortable all day, minus my friends pointing out that they've never seen me wear jeans before haha.

It's starting to get extra cold here in NY, and I'm definitely not happy about that because all I want to do is stay indoors. I'll be sure to post a lot more looks here on the blog but if you'd like to keep up with my collection developments you can always follow me on Instagram @marfarlane

Portal Of My Soul

Dark, mysterious and Witchy vibe here on the blog today, just in time for the celebration of Halloween.

Black and White Sweater- Forever 21
Cape- H&M
Pants- Zara

The cape comes out whenever I want to capture a polished look that has the ability to give any outfit that little extra oomph, which is never a bad thing. I'm not all entirely into this whole halloween craze..in fact, I grew up in a culture that never really celebrated halloween so I guess for me the whole dressing up in costume on the 31st isn't quite the norm. However, I must say it can be quite fun to get dressed up and be who ever you want for that one night.

Even though this isn't an actual halloween post, I could definitely see a witchy or vampy inspiration somewhere within this look. I changed things up a bit and wore my cyber Mac lipstick with an all black ensemble, complimented with hints of white. This was actually a look I wore to class that day and it was kind of fun going back to my grunge roots of my early blogging days.
I added the o-ring choker and my draped pyramid necklace for extra effects to drive some interest into the look since,  wearing all black can sometimes come off flat on camera.
