Voodoo Florals / GIVEAWAY WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT.

Top- New Look
Sunglasses- Zero UV

It's been a day since I've been back in New York and I'm missing home already. Today is the celebration of Independence day in Jamaica so what better way for me to celebrate on my blog than to post a look I took while visiting the National Heroes Park in Kingston, Jamaica. This crazy print mixture look was something I wore on a day out with my family and as crazy as it seems I love it. I never would have thought I'd like this juxtaposition between a loose fitting girly floral pant and a grunge Egyptian high neck top. I literally just went with how I was feeling and wore what made me happy. I paired this look with cute summer flats and one of my favourite cat-eye shades from Zero UV... overall I'm happy with the way this look turned out but feel free to let me know if you think this is a yay or nay. Look out for more post up coming of me back in NY this week.

CONGRATULATIONS TO MARISSA POON ON WINNING THE QUAY AUSTRALIA SHADES!!! for all those who entered, thank you so much and don't worry! I have a lot more giveaways coming up in the future :)

Street Spirit

High Neck Top- Necessary Clothing
Skirt- Thrift
Shoes- "Zoe" by Miista (Solestruck)

Happy Friday everyone! it's exactly one week until I head back home to Jamaica and I'm sooo excited to go back and see my family and friends. For sure I'll keep updating my outfit choices so I hope you stick around for the ride. As you can probably already tell by now, on of my favourite types of top to wear are high neck crops...especially for the summer since they're literally allow room for your skin to breathe. For this look, I paired a black high neck top with the cutest denim skirt that I found at a thrift store about four weeks ago. I decided to share some of the jewelry that I've been wearing lately but haven't had the chance of photographing them. The necklace is actually one of my favorites because it reminds me of back home and I love the gypsy like quality to it a lot. Ever since I got this holographic shoes, I've been obsessing over everything holographic and I'll be sharing an outfit pretty soon to show how much I'm loving holographic stuff lately. Anyways, hope you like this outfit post and have a great weekend!

Sweet Disposition

All-Over Printe Tee- Forever 21
High Neck Crop Top- Top Shop
Black Mini Dress- Thrift
Socks- Karmaloop
Collar Harness- Deandri

This collar harness, has quickly become my favourite go to thing to wear because I really love how weird and grungy it looks and you already know how much I love with wear my o-ring, so this harness from Deandri is literally a step up from my o-ring. I wanted to do an all black ensemble with this peak of colours popping out randomly and I know you must be thinking if I was hot under all the layering but I can honestly say wasn't, because I wore a light tee and layered it with a thin high neck cropped top then I layered this loose fitting black dress and the look ended up coming out like some type of fashion gladiator in heels. I chose to wear some "fun socks" with this bright blue wedges that I have no memory of where it came from because I bought it such a long time ago and probably only wore it like once.  All together, I love how eclectic the styling of this outfit came out. Have a wonderful week! and don't forget to enter the current giveaway that I'm hosting>>>here

Pulsating To The Back Beat

Egyptian Print High Neck Crop Top- New Look
Plaid DIY Muscle Shirt
Corduoroy Pants- Uniqlo
Shoes- UNIF Das Boots (Dolls Kill)
Quay Sunglasses- Nasty Gal

I've always been the type of person to clash to different prints that perhaps weren't meant to be together but, I somehow always find a way to make it work. The outfit in the post is a clear example of my little outfit experimentation. A few weeks ago I came across this Europe based online store called New Look  and I wanted to literally buy everything! They have pieces for women and men varying from all different personal style and the prices are super affordable for someone who is working on a budget, plus they're always having sales. Though I'll be browsing through and shopping there more often as a first try I bought two high neck crop tops, which is something I've been searching for the longest time so when I saw that they carried them with all different styles, I knew that this was going to be my favourite place hahaha. Usually, I'd go for maybe a skater skirt look with this top but, I decided to go with pants and platforms because it was super windy that day and I didn't really want to deal with having a Maryln Monroe moment. Thankfully, I don't think anyone can go wrong with wearing pants and platforms.

Paper Planes

Black High Neck Top- Necessary Clothing
Pleated Plaid Skirt- Thrift
Shoes- Jeffrey Campbell Tardy

I few weeks ago, I went thrift shopping with one of my friends from my internship and I found this beautiful just hanging on the rack waiting for me to take notice. I've always wanted a midi length plaid skirt but everyone that I tried just wasn't exactly what I was looking for and the color was always off, but I'm so happy I found these because it's like a wrap skirt and it has these cute little pleating on the sides. Plus, though I'm not usually a fan of wearing green...I don't think I can get over how great the blue, green and red of the skirt works so well together. Ultimately, before I even got the skirt, I always pictured myself wearing it with a high neck cropped top but was never sure of what shoes to style it with. However, when reality strikes, I decided to dust off my old tardy boots and it worked perfectly with the whole look. I'll be having lots of fun styling these skirt so I can't wait to share my ideas here on the blog. Happy July! and have a great week

Trapped In Squares

High Neck Black Crop Top- American Apparel
Geometric Long Sleeved Blouse- Forever 21
Shorts- Forever 21
Shoes- T.U.K Creepers (Journeys)

I've been wanting to share this look for the longest time here on the blog, but every time I decide to...I can't find it anywhere in my archives. I know its summer and perhaps wearing faux leather isn't ideal for some people but for me, I say as long as your comfortable just go with it. I really love this faux leather metallic light green shorts that I've been wearing a lot with different combinations. There is just something interesting about the color and I love how to pops against the darkness of my top. As I said before on a post earlier, I use to love layering a lot and I've recently started to layering a bit more now but in a totally different way than I use to. I've been pairing a lot of long sleeved sheer tops and leaving it open to show the blouse underneath. I choose to wear a blouse underneath that isn't going to make me burn in heat and the top on wear over it is usually sheer so it eliminates heat especially since it's now  Summer time.
