Crystalized

Cropped Top- New Look
Black and White Varsity Jacket- Forever 21
Loose Fitting Trousers- Zara

About a week ago, I wore this slouchy/ semi casual outfit to school and somehow I forgot to share it here on my blog. I first have to say that I was never really a big fan of varsity jackets at all...I thought they were too much of a trend that I didn't want to fall victim of so, I tried my best to stay away from it. However, about a month ago a stumbled upon this black and white varsity jacket with the letter 'M' in caps sewn onto it. Naturally, I'm going to gravitate to it because my name starts with M and how much more cheesy could I have gone than wearing something with my initials plastered on it hahaha. Oh well, I couldn't help myself, so ended up getting the jacket and I really don't regret it one bit now because it has come in handy so many ways. The first look I wore it with was actually the one in this post...I paired it with  one of my favourite crop tops that you probably recognize, with all the egyptian symbols, and went with a very slouchy look for a change. I bought these pants at Zara, not knowing that I'd end up liking it so much but, I have to say they are extremely comfortable and well made. It have a really cool pleated detail at the front and I love the fact that it's a little baggy because it helps to balance out the fact that I'm wearing a more tight fitting cropped top. Aside from the fact it's a black and white look, I love that sort of downtown girl vibe that this look possesses.

Voodoo Florals / GIVEAWAY WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT.

Top- New Look
Sunglasses- Zero UV

It's been a day since I've been back in New York and I'm missing home already. Today is the celebration of Independence day in Jamaica so what better way for me to celebrate on my blog than to post a look I took while visiting the National Heroes Park in Kingston, Jamaica. This crazy print mixture look was something I wore on a day out with my family and as crazy as it seems I love it. I never would have thought I'd like this juxtaposition between a loose fitting girly floral pant and a grunge Egyptian high neck top. I literally just went with how I was feeling and wore what made me happy. I paired this look with cute summer flats and one of my favourite cat-eye shades from Zero UV... overall I'm happy with the way this look turned out but feel free to let me know if you think this is a yay or nay. Look out for more post up coming of me back in NY this week.

CONGRATULATIONS TO MARISSA POON ON WINNING THE QUAY AUSTRALIA SHADES!!! for all those who entered, thank you so much and don't worry! I have a lot more giveaways coming up in the future :)

Grunge In Paradise

Top- New Look
Shorts- Nasty Gal
Shoes- Creepers
Sunglasses- Zero UV

So I finally get to update you guys on my vacationing back home in Jamaica! I'm so happy to be back, and I forgot how much I missed not being in the busy city life. This outfit is probably one of the more grungy looks I've worn so far since being in Jamaica and I have to say my most favourite part of this look is the shorts! This is actually my first time wearing high waisted cut off shorts and to be honest, I've sworn to myself I'd never wear them but I have to say these are such an amazing fit! They're from Nasty Gal and I absolutely love the front zipper detail of it. Also, I changed my hair color like a day after arriving here and it's now like burgundy/red at the top and more of a dark brown at the back....Love it! I'll take better pics of it and upload them as soon as I can. It's really hard to update here but I'll try as best as possible.

Pulsating To The Back Beat

Egyptian Print High Neck Crop Top- New Look
Plaid DIY Muscle Shirt
Corduoroy Pants- Uniqlo
Shoes- UNIF Das Boots (Dolls Kill)
Quay Sunglasses- Nasty Gal

I've always been the type of person to clash to different prints that perhaps weren't meant to be together but, I somehow always find a way to make it work. The outfit in the post is a clear example of my little outfit experimentation. A few weeks ago I came across this Europe based online store called New Look  and I wanted to literally buy everything! They have pieces for women and men varying from all different personal style and the prices are super affordable for someone who is working on a budget, plus they're always having sales. Though I'll be browsing through and shopping there more often as a first try I bought two high neck crop tops, which is something I've been searching for the longest time so when I saw that they carried them with all different styles, I knew that this was going to be my favourite place hahaha. Usually, I'd go for maybe a skater skirt look with this top but, I decided to go with pants and platforms because it was super windy that day and I didn't really want to deal with having a Maryln Monroe moment. Thankfully, I don't think anyone can go wrong with wearing pants and platforms.
