This is a look I wore a couple about a week ago and totally forgot I took pictures of it and I'm so glad I found it in my archives because totally I loved this look! I've always been obessessed with all-over print tees and this one from Chicwish is currently my favourite one, mainly because it's black and gold (i loveee black and gold combinations). I wanted to capture a dark, romantic, sort of soft grungesque vibe ....so I decided for a change, I'd pair the tee with something long and flowy like this beautiful dress I got from BCBG a longg time ago (the picture does it no justice). These shorts are actually one of my recent online purchases and it's everything I expected it to be. I wanted a shorts that was very loose fitting, denim,high waisted and a very retro...and that is exactly what I got.  I got them on Ebay by chance of online browsing and surprisingly the quality of these shorts are extremely good and well made, so the fact that it came from Ebay really didn't matter to me. I wanted to build a whole black and gold ensemble around these shorts, so I wore a body hugging high-neck top which could be wore for a day time look and could also be transitioned into an outfit for a night out by just adding a leather biker jacket and a pair of platforms. I'll forever love black and gold combinations because there is something so polished and classic about it that I absolutely love. I'm so happy I decided to finally wear this top that was actually passed down to me from my mother. I don't exactly know what I was waiting for before I wore but I'm glad I finally got the chance to style it. I did practically what I always do by pairing it with simple pieces that could be styled easily with it. I wore this slightly sheer dress I found hiding in the thrift shop and knew it would be perfect to go with the amazing embroidery details of the top. I feel like there is no going wrong with a black and gold combination unless, its obnoxiously over done from head to toe. I have so many ideas on other ways of styling this top and I'll be sure to share that with you very soon. My finals will be over by Monday so I'll be posting much more regular again!
