True Blue

I almost never wear jeans so it's super weird seeing myself in them. These are the one and only pair of jeans I currently own…reason being, I can never really find a pair of jeans that either doesn't itch my skin or the fit is probably horrible due to my short torso.

The fit of these jeans aren't entirely perfect on me, the waist was a little bit big for me so I had to wear a belt to snatch that waist up hahaha. I got these from American Apparel about a few days ago and never really thought I'd like it until I tried it on as a joke and ironically ended up liking them. They're like mom jeans and I'll definitely be wearing them for the rest of what's left of the Summer. 

I knew for sure how I wanted to style these jeans the moment I got them…it would have to be a simple attire with a cropped top and the perfect platform boots. For this look, I decided to throw on my deep blue velvet top with a sort of all blue attire in complimentary shades and with an addition of gold accessories my outfit was pretty much complete for a day of taking my niece around the city since she's visiting New York for the first time.

You know me and my mixing print experimentations already...so this is another one I did with polka dot and geometric square shapes. I will agree that this look is a bit loud and in terms of the clashing of the prints however, I basically just went with the flow and tied the two prints together by wearing a black knee high stockings and the perfect summer shorts. I threw on some reflector sunnies from Zero UV and my holographic shoes and my outfit was complete hahaha. The shorts I'm wearing is one that I quickly pull for on hot summer days before it's so comfortable and is just the right fit for me. You can also get the same shorts in a lighter shade at Skinny Bitch Apparel. Even though, I think Newcomdigi actually sells the light shade to the shorts and a much cheaper price....there goes your summer deal! Anyways, I'm completely exhausted already and the week has just begun but I know I'll snap out of it pretty soon.

These shorts are actually one of my recent online purchases and it's everything I expected it to be. I wanted a shorts that was very loose fitting, denim,high waisted and a very retro...and that is exactly what I got.  I got them on Ebay by chance of online browsing and surprisingly the quality of these shorts are extremely good and well made, so the fact that it came from Ebay really didn't matter to me. I wanted to build a whole black and gold ensemble around these shorts, so I wore a body hugging high-neck top which could be wore for a day time look and could also be transitioned into an outfit for a night out by just adding a leather biker jacket and a pair of platforms. I'll forever love black and gold combinations because there is something so polished and classic about it that I absolutely love. DIY Cloth Cuff Bracelet- From Scraps of Last Post

This is a look I wore while I was pretty much having a picnic at Central Park. It was so sunny and beautiful outside that there was no way I would stay inside my apartment. I wanted to capture that feeling of a throwback camping picture with a little bit of my spin to it. I wore this amazing muscle tee with a graphic super hero comic, I thought it was so clever and a perfect piece to mix and match. So, I went along with pairing it with a vintage striped overall which was actually way too big for me but I kinda just made it work and rolled the hem up because it was way too cool for me not to wear. I love how when I style these overall and muscle tee, that I instantly thought of this very retro sunglasses from none other than Zero UV.  It added a nice element in complimenting the outfit and tying everything together into the perfect Summer / Picnic outfit. A few days ago I was on Tumblr scrolling through some 90s throwbacks and endless soft and hardcore grunge pictures and I got so many inspirations for outfits I could recreate into my own. I wanted a full on look that would scream 90s! so I went digging in my closet for this plaid collared shirt which I knew for sure I wanted to wear but, it was long sleeved and way too hot outside for me to even attempt to wear. So, I did what I do to majority of my shirts.... I took a scissors and cut the arms off hahaha sounds brutal, but I don't regret it because it gave me a whole new shirt that looks very grunge / hill billy (like in Larry The Cable Guy), but in a much more fashion forward way. Of course, it wouldn't be a perfect grunge look without pairing it with sort of an all black ensemble and distressed sheer stockings. My sunglasses is one I've had for awhile but never came across the perfect outfit for me to wear it with...it pretty much adds a retro vibe and also gives the whole 90s grunge look a more modern/edgy attitude.
