I love when I can wear a printed tee and it suddenly breathes life into an entire look. For this outfit, I went along with my usual print mixing by combining plaid with this baroque inspired print from one of my favourite tees. I was a little skeptical at first about working the purple plaid into this look but I took the risk and I'm really happy with the way it all turned out because the yellow stripe from the plaid suddenly played a major role in tying both separate together. I think it's evident that my fringe obsession will never die...I own so many fringe items and I'm convinces that my life is so much better with fringe... hahaha. I decided to with this very "beachy/bohemian like" braid fringe cardigan because not only is it the coolest thing ever but I love how the gold beads are incorporated into the white braided detail. That to me, makes it so much more special. I later decided on wearing my creepers after contemplating my black Deandri platforms....but, I'm happy I wore the creepers because it helped in toning this look down a little.

So the summer time is pretty much coming to a close and for some reason, I notice that I've been wearing a lot of black combination looks now that the summer is almost over. With this particular look, I drew some inspiration from the Baroque era but with a little urban spin and signature stamps of my own personal style. I usually never do anything to my hair most times when I'm getting ready each day but I decided to do a little experimenting with styles more often so I did a braided crown which helped to enhance the look that I was going for. The best thing about this look is that the clothing is very easy to wear and throw on for a perfect day to walk around, shop or even to go on a lunch date. It's also a great transitional look into the fall season, so that's always a plus. I hope you guys liked this post and have a wonderful week!

This is a look I wore a couple about a week ago and totally forgot I took pictures of it and I'm so glad I found it in my archives because totally I loved this look! I've always been obessessed with all-over print tees and this one from Chicwish is currently my favourite one, mainly because it's black and gold (i loveee black and gold combinations). I wanted to capture a dark, romantic, sort of soft grungesque vibe ....so I decided for a change, I'd pair the tee with something long and flowy like this beautiful dress I got from BCBG a longg time ago (the picture does it no justice). I know you're probably wondering why I've been wearing the same three pairs of shoes so often in my blog posts but, that's really because I go to my internship in the days and they are the most reasonable shoes to wear since I'm always running around and my usual 6 inch platforms aren't exactly ideal. I plan to change it up a whole lot very soon and maybe retire my creepers and coltrane boots for a long time because, slowly I'm sort of getting tired of them. Regardless of that, I have to say... I'm in love with this look! I think the idea of mixing two totally different prints is really interesting and adds a nice quirky touch to an outfit. I would usually never wear my school projects at all but I fell in love with the baroque print of the fabric which I eventually made into a pant for my sewing class. I hated the style of the pants we had to wear, it was kind of a bell bottom and had the weirdest fit ever...so I chopped off all the leg area so I could wear it as a shorts which is perfect for summer time. I wish I had a valid reason why I paired these two specific prints together but I simply just winged it and crossed my fingers that they would go well. I added the touch of teal with the blouse overlay, as a way of bringing out the colours of the top and shorts.
