Wasn't quite planning on sharing this look that I wore long before it got so cold in New York. However, I thought there was  something a bit special about the mixture of different elements in this look that I love so I decided on just sharing it last minute. I really love the way the embroidered textured of the top it placed along the arms and down the torso...it makes this look very interesting since it could have easily been a plain all black look. I actually cut the sleeves off the cheetah print top and basically turning it into a vest so that the beauty of the top underneath could show through.  Any who, it's snowing in New York right now, which is ridiculous because its just early November! I'm definitely not looking forward to this Winter ugh. Later on in November or December, I'll try to do some Winter inspired looks depending on what the weather is like.

I've been missing home a whole lot and one day I was staring at my multi-coloured glass clutch that I got in Jamaica, then I realized that I have yet to actually shared it any of my posts. So, I decided to build a whole outfit around it ...dedication to my culture I suppose. I wore my black spider weed tee with this bold pop of green and basically combined it with all black. I really didn't want to take away the distraction from the clutch which might I add, is fantastic! it's made of these tiny rectangular painted glass in yellow, green and red, which are colours of significance to the Rastafarian movement. I think what I love the most about the outfit is that it steams off a very calm mood and the pop of these bright colours feels like paint being splashed on a blackboard.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate this beauty of this fit and flare sweater skirt from Express!? Lately I've gotten into wearing a lot of white separates and thanks to whatever clicked in my brain because I'm loving the dominant addition of the white skirt and socks in this post. I'm keeping it pretty casual with this outfit with the help of a very laid back 'grunge touch' of the denim jacket. I actually snapped these photos as I was heading home from my morning classes and it was such a beautiful day here in the city with the weather being mid way between summer and fall. I wore a body hugging knitted top which was given to me a few months ago by my mother when I went back to Jamaica sometime during the summer holidays. I really love the texture and the way the thread of this knitted top are woven so intricately and precise, giving the outfit a great detailed quality. I tucked the top into the skirt because it has always been a personal aesthetic that I really love and has the power to create a more polished look to an outfit. I have lots of new things that I'm excited about coming to my blog soon so stay tuned for that! Have a great week <3

One of the things I love the most about Fall, is there you can basically take a lot of the things you wore during the summer and just layer it up with the possibility of transforming a whole different look. It's really about approaching your wardrobe in an entirely different way by finding a unique way of mixing and matching separates that would otherwise be 'stand alone pieces' if it were in the summer. Ever since got this blue velvet top, I've really have been making the most of it and constantly incorporating in different outfit ideas. I decided to share one of my favourite looks from out of the many ways I've styled it. This is a very relaxed bohemian meets grunge vibe, that makes the perfect outfit for lunch with friends, shopping or if you decided to go for a little walk around the city. I layered it with this cozy olive jumper  and later realized how great the olive green and the royal blue of the velvet top complimented each other once they were layered. Of course, I had to throw in my big wool hat because it simply completes the overall aura of this outfit and the perfect sunglasses can never really go wrong. Just a quick post just to update you all a little. This "Born to be bad" dress is actually very similar to the dress I wore in one of my previous post, (Bulletproof). The difference is that, the one I'm wearing in this post is of a much lighter weight with a more downtown girl street style vibe. My style has been evolving a lot more recently...I love my very grungy looks and I'm slowing falling back into full on grunge post now that the Fall season is approaching, but I like to change things up sometimes and just experiment. I didn't want to just wear this dress as is by itself, so I layered it up with one of my vintage sleeveless tops tucked into a high waisted faux leather shorts that I've honestly been wanting to wear for awhile but, it always seemed a little raunchy to me for some reason. I took this opportunity to wear it with this whole ensemble because I had the help of the dress to sort of cover up the butt area, giving that classic"peek-a-boo" vibe. I'm going through a little transition with one of my camera equipment so I'm really sorry for the not so good quality! Anyways, I'm off to a very packed day so enjoy your weekend!

Who doesn't love DIY project!? I'm happy I finally get to share with you one of my DIY projects that is really quick and easy...all it takes it a scissors, curved edge (I used a french curve) and a sharpie or whatever thing that can make a mark. I'm always deconstructing & reconstructing my t-shirts because lets face the fact, sometimes it can get a little tiring wearing the same silhouette very often. I have a tons of all over print shirts so I'm always searching for new ways of wearing them without being too repetitive. This particular shirt is actually from Zara and believe it or not, it's from the male section of the store. Honestly, I thought that it was a pretty unisex all-over print shirt and I was so attracted to the confusing abstract print so why not? because I somehow always find myself attracted to the weirdest things in stores hahaha. I went for a more sleek and slightly bohemian inspired look which is perfect for walking around in the daytime.

Yesterday, I wore this outfit out of being lazy and not really wanting to go to school so I wore what I knew would work best when all else failed..."black". I really love how wearing all black can make a look instantly more edgy and refined... and though I may be a lover of all things colored, I can't lie that when it comes to black there's almost no going wrong. I think its evident by now that I'm a crazy fringe obsessed woman and I really can't get enough of fringe. I wore this vintage black knit top with a fringed hem line, which is one of the easiest things for me to wear on a day when I'm possibly in a rush or flat out feeling exhausted. I wore this top with slender black pants with the cutest little zipper details on each side of the upper thighs and adding accessories that would compliment the overall look well. So, I though it would be nice to wear my Jeffrey Campbell and my newest edition to my jewelry collection is this beautiful Glow Worm Shop cat-eye necklace! I got two of them in the mail a few days ago and I'm so in love with everything about it so you'll definitely be seeing be wearing it a lot. Anyways, I'm off to a busy day!
