This post basically shows how much of a clue I don't have when it comes figuring out what to do with my hair. It's either I let it all out with a hat/beanie or I'll have it in a big mess top bun. For this look, I actually started out with wearing this beautiful light grey beanie, but it was extremely windy when I took these photos and the beanie wouldn't stay on my head no matter how much I tried. I'm not quite the person who usually wear body hugging tops because I tend to prefer my top be loose and free on my body. However, I have to say as of lately I've been splurging in Zara knitted tops a whole lot because they're literally the most comfortable thing to wear for this fall/winter season and if you're neutral coloured tops they are the perfect place to get it from.
Since I wore a body hugging top, it's only fair that I brought some type of balance to the overall look by wearing a a slightly baggy tailored trouser. I then threw on my oversized denim jacket to give a little depth and of course keep me warm. This is the kind of outfit that's perfect for days when you don't want to dress up too much but still want to be well dressed and presentable.

So I think it's pretty clear that my obsession with velvet is not nearly close to dying anytime soon...maybe never. For this look, I basically took what would be a very simplistic and classic look, with the sleeveless black high neck crop top and velvet skirt, but later added this crazy geometric cardigan to create a more bold 'stand-out' appearance. I actually wore this outfit yesterday and it kept me warm and comfortable all day while I was in classes. The weather is pretty up and down here in New York so at some time in the day it will get really cold or piercing hot! so it gets a little challenging in terms of figuring out what to wear. However,  what was so convenient with this outfit is that, I was able to take off the cardigan whenever it was a little too hot for an oversized knit and when I got in classes with the air conditioner blasted to the highest level, I could just grab for the cardigan to keep me warm. The wine red velvet with the bright neon green and black sleeves of the cardigan makes this entire outfit really powerful and striking....surprizingly, I never thought those two colours would go together. I also wore my favourite ankle boots with this whole ensemble because I thought it would be nice to work in the iridescent colours of the booties, instead of going with plain black platforms. Yesterday, I wore this outfit out of being lazy and not really wanting to go to school so I wore what I knew would work best when all else failed..."black". I really love how wearing all black can make a look instantly more edgy and refined... and though I may be a lover of all things colored, I can't lie that when it comes to black there's almost no going wrong. I think its evident by now that I'm a crazy fringe obsessed woman and I really can't get enough of fringe. I wore this vintage black knit top with a fringed hem line, which is one of the easiest things for me to wear on a day when I'm possibly in a rush or flat out feeling exhausted. I wore this top with slender black pants with the cutest little zipper details on each side of the upper thighs and adding accessories that would compliment the overall look well. So, I though it would be nice to wear my Jeffrey Campbell and my newest edition to my jewelry collection is this beautiful Glow Worm Shop cat-eye necklace! I got two of them in the mail a few days ago and I'm so in love with everything about it so you'll definitely be seeing be wearing it a lot. Anyways, I'm off to a busy day!

Lately, I've been dipping into the fall fashion season...not sure if it's too early for that but when I wore this outfit, it surely felt like fall. For those of you who have been following my blog, you'll notice that I'm a lover of colour, platforms and a compulsive "print mixer". With that been said, I don't believe I've ever done an all black look with the mixture of prints and slight pops of colors, so I thought "why not!?". I wore a black and white sheer blouse that could be both dressed up or down and paired it with the cutest kimono that has these embroidered stitchings along the torso area...I thought it was the cutest thing ever when I saw it in forever 21 so it was basically made a compulsive buy and I can't seem to take it off. To accesorize this whole look, I wanted to keep it a little simple with a more edgy and sophisticated touch so I wore  this amazing wool hat which is actually one of my recent purchases and I don't regret it one bit! Lastly, and these amazinggg pair of oil slick iridescent boots from Edge Of Urge, which I recently recieved this week!!!! they're made in collaboration with Jeffrey Campbell & Edge Of Urge and I literally could not wait to wear them so I knew I had to wear them like the next day of receiving them.
