Prior Lost Sorrows

If it could be Summer forever, that would make my life so much better. I think the most I'll miss about the Summer is the fact that I could step outside my apartment bare legged in short shorts and not give a care in the world because I won't have to face the cold wind rushing across my skin.

Vintage rings will forever be an obsession of mine, especially silver ones that overtime the under layer of copper begins to show through, giving a very rusty vibe which I love….it gives a little character to the jewelry in my opinion.

Possibly the most comfortable boots I've own in awhile. These was my best purchase of the Summer as I can't take them off my feet and they'll literally become a uniform to my attire for classes.

Ribbed Cropped Top- Necessary Clothing
Short- Forever 21
Chiffon Top- H&M
Boots- Zara
Draped Necklace- Guess
Rings- Vintage

A lot of my post from now will literally be mostly grey combinations, mainly because I've become completely obsessed with wearing and buying any piece of clothing that's grey. That's possible the main reason I've also slowed down in blogging as my person style is changing drastically and for some reason I'm starting to hate everything in my closet. Maybe it's just a phase but either way, I'm going through a bit of a revamping of closet (late spring cleaning).

For this look I chose to pair a basic ribbed top to be worn with my favourite pair of shorts that I've style several times here on the blog. I wanted to do a subtle mixing of prints, so I wore my airy abstract floral top and styled it as cardigan for a extra layer to give depth to the look. I went a bit heavy on the jewelry since there was such a light aura to the way I paired each piece of clothing. Of course, no look could be complete with a great pair of black boots and my usual messy hair.

Also, I wanted to invite you all to join in on entering a giveaway from one of these three beautifully and rather detailed necklaces shown above. I know for sure I can swear by Michal Golan jewelry because all their pieces are literally perfection! Awake My Soul

Everything Vintage
Cardigan- Necessary Clothing
Shoe- Jeffrey Campbell Teeter

Compared to yesterday's look...today's post is a lot different. For today's look, I'm pretty much looking like a "grunge school girl who's secretly a badass witch" haha. I mixed both new and vintage pieces together that was able to bring this entire look alive. The lace top I'm wearing, use to be one of my ultimate 'go-to' tops back in 2008 I just loved the sheering details across the the shoulder and along the hem line, making it sort of like a pleasant top. Though I don't usually fancy this type of silhouette in a blouse, something about this one seems much more pleasing to me and adding that sheer sleeve layering underneath just gives it that grungy vibe. The plaid skirt I'm wearing is actually one that I've shared here on the blog already (here) but as you can see, I ended up cutting up shorter into a mini skirt. I decided to cut it because it was at an awkward length which caused me to stay away from styling it for a very long time but I love the length now and it allows me to get that knee high fall look going. Hope you like today's post..feel free to comment down below and tell me what you think.

Flower Bomb

White Floral Dress- Forever 21
Sheer Floral Top- Vintage
Shoes- Coltrane Boots (Karmaloop)
DIY Choker

I'm not quite sure what was going on in my mind when I styled this outfit but all I know is that I wanted to be covered in florals and be girly for the day. I wore this baby doll white floral print dress once before on the blog but I remember styling it a little "soft grunge"/bohemian like (here). This time around I made the dress look a little for free spirit and layered it with another floral print top but I made sure that the top was sheer so that you could see the print of the dress peak through the top.  As you can already probably tell, I love to mix and match prints and I've kind of been doing this type a styling a lot more often. I guess there is something about the summer that brings out all the crazy in me hahaha. I hope your week is going great so far and please remember there is still time to enter my giveway>>>here

When I first saw this amazing graphite about a month ago in Brooklyn, I thought to myself this is definitely going to be my new favourite place to snap my blog pictures so this is me...one month later, shamelessly taking photos on the sideway behind this amazing piece of work. I had the opportunity of meeting the owner and she was the sweetest person ever! The look I went for, has a very modern grunge hippie kind of aura about it. I collided two styles and blended them up into my own with the help of layer and playing with different fabric weights and accessories. The skirt I'm wearing is probably something I've wore a billion times here on the blog but, I'm not tired of it just yet so I had to come up with a way of styling it a totally different way. I wanted to give the illusion of a loose fitting oversized dress so I paired it with a coloured print top and overlaid the top with one of my favourite black sheer top from a brand called TRAMP. I love how the gold buttons on the black top, pops off beautifully against the pink of the skirt so i went ahead and accessorized with gold jewelry an the perfect hippie/circle sunnies. As I mentioned before in some post ago, I love matching my creepers with sock, especially if its a coloured or textured socks because it give it a nice quirky touch and helps to tight in the overall look.
