Sweet Escape

Black and White Cross Mini Dress- Forever 21
Floral Mesh Top- Vintage
Fringe Kimono- H&M

I've been wanting to share this floral mesh top for the longest time and I've been wearing it with different outfits a lot but this is one of my favourite outfits I like it the most with. It's literally beautiful whenever its layered with a top underneath and its also very perfect for the summer time because its lightweight and  has all these holes in it that forms a really cool floral pattern. I know I've probably shared this Forever 21 cross dress like a million times here on the blog but I simply just really love it and I'm not quite over it just yet, cause I can think of sooo many other ways of styling it. I love the very dark ethereal aspect that this outfit gives and its also like I'm some type of lost witch.

'Cause It's A Bittersweet Syphony

Black and White Cross Tunic- Forever 21
Maxi Dress- Vintage
Socks- Karmaloop

Several days ago, I woke up wanting to dress like a life sized grunge barbie so I put together an outfit that was juxtaposing between two styles. My inital intentions were to just were this bright magenta maxi dress buttoned up with the UNIF Das boots, but I remember that I had previously styled a look similar to that about a few months ago (The Look). So, I decided to change it up a bit and use the dress more like a cape/cardigan and paired it with one of my favourite tunics that I literally can't get enough of. I added the colorful 'paint dripping' socks as another pop colour to go against the darkness of the shoes and tunic...I love how very mysterious and playful this look came out...a soft grunge barbie I say hahaha. I've been sorta getting back into wearing a lot more colors here and there by adding them as pop colours to compliment an outfit. I have a lot more looks coming up this week so please re visit to check that out and you can follow (My Instagram) for real time updates.

Horizontal Striped Shift Dress- Vintage
Shoes- T.U.K Creepers (Journeys)
Knee High Stockings- H & M
Oversized Knit Cardigan- A.N.A Clothing
Necklace- Jamaica

Horizontal stripes are said to be a big no no when it comes to clothes, because it makes you look bigger than you actually are. However, I really don't care what the fashion gods say... because I absolutely love this dress! First thing, it reminds me so much of a very Tim Burton type of character...dark, corky and mysterious. It was a little windy when I wore this look so what better way to keep warm than to wear my oversized knit cardigan, its so comfy and has a nice bohemian quality to it, which I really love. I wanted to make this look very "Grunge Playful", by adding knee high stockings and pops of color in my jewelry choices. Even though this look has a very 60s boxy shift kind of vibe going on, I really don't mind because I sometimes love when my clothes are very loose fitting and allows me the breathe and move around easily. Thanks for visiting and have a lovely week.

Revelation In The Light Of Day

Coral Top (wore as under blouse)- Vintage
Black Sheer Top-Tramp Clothing
Harley Vegan Leather Skirt- Joa
Shoes- T.U.K Creepers (Journeys)
Socks- Karmaloop
Sunglasses- Zero UV
Choker- DIY
Clock Necklace- Thrifted

When I first saw this amazing graphite about a month ago in Brooklyn, I thought to myself this is definitely going to be my new favourite place to snap my blog pictures so this is me...one month later, shamelessly taking photos on the sideway behind this amazing piece of work. I had the opportunity of meeting the owner and she was the sweetest person ever! The look I went for, has a very modern grunge hippie kind of aura about it. I collided two styles and blended them up into my own with the help of layer and playing with different fabric weights and accessories. The skirt I'm wearing is probably something I've wore a billion times here on the blog but, I'm not tired of it just yet so I had to come up with a way of styling it a totally different way. I wanted to give the illusion of a loose fitting oversized dress so I paired it with a coloured print top and overlaid the top with one of my favourite black sheer top from a brand called TRAMP. I love how the gold buttons on the black top, pops off beautifully against the pink of the skirt so i went ahead and accessorized with gold jewelry an the perfect hippie/circle sunnies. As I mentioned before in some post ago, I love matching my creepers with sock, especially if its a coloured or textured socks because it give it a nice quirky touch and helps to tight in the overall look.
