Emerald

Knit Sweater- Similar
Skirt- Similar
Shoes- Lost Sole Boots (UNIF)
Eagle Necklace- Nasty Gal

I'm usually never the person to wear colours light green, yellow or orange...I just always thought there were just weird colours that would never work into my closet. However, this emerald green sweater from H&M is such an exception. The pictures don't nearly do this sweater justice because up close and personal, it looks very metallic with a very rich and vibrate emerald green colour. I decided to accessorize with gold accents in jewelry, with the exception of my shoes that had a couple silver studs on them but who cares? its 2013...gone are the days when pairing gold and silver was a huge no no.
I wore this sweater with a black and white striped collared top, flared velvet skirt and some opaque tights. This is a very familiar combination that I wear a whole lot with little tweaks here and there. It's comfortable, easy and can be wore for several different occasions.

Hallucinate

"Let's Get Weird" Tee- JacVanek (Karmaloop)
Velvet Midi Skirt- Vintage
Faux Leather Biker Jacket- H&M
Evil Eye Earring- Nasty Gal

I loved this Jac Vanek "Lets Get Weird" tee so much, I knew I had to style it a second time here on my blog. The first time I posted it, it was very airy and more of a summer look (here). So, because I loved it so much I thought it would be nice to style it into a more fall inspired look. In this post, I wanted to capture a biker chic look that could easily be worn as day to night transitional look depending on you it's accessorized. I got this faux leather jacket at H&M about three weeks ago while catching a peak at there new fall collection....I've been wanting a really good biker jacket for the longest time so, scoring this one from H&M was basically heaven sent...or at least to me it is haha. I chose to pair the tee with a midi length skirt to give it a little more "badass sophistication" and the fact that its it's made in velvet is perfect because it gives the whole look a great mixture of textures, giving the whole styling more depth. New York Fashion Week S/S 2014 has started! and I couldn't be more excited to see the collections, you can check them out too if you're not in New York by visiting either Style.com or Elle.com or there are lifestreams that you can watch online! Anyways, have a great weekend!

Lavender

Top- Vintage
Velvet Circle Skirt- Necessary Clothing
Shoes- "Zoe" by Miista (Solestruck)
Sunglasses- Zero UV

Here's another look into my recent obsession with wearing velvet. This time I decided to incorporate it into my skirt with mesh detailing on my top. I wanted this look to feel light and airy because it was such a bright and sunny day, which is something I really want to enjoy before it starts to get cold here in New York. Already I'm seeing signs of the fall season which I'm not too happy about because it's been raining a lot. To add a soft and feminine touch to the outfit I changed up my usual grunge accessories and went for a more simplistic approach by wearing my a sentimental bracelet that my father gave me a few birthday's ago! I LOVE it! Also for those of you asking, I got my hair professionally done in NY at the Napp Star salon in Manhattan please check them out! they're amazingg and does my hair very close to how my salon in Jamaica does it. Anyways, it's almost the end of the first week back at school and I have lots more stuff coming on my blog very soon so please be on the look out for that.
