My Heart Stopped As I Wither In The Cold

Dress- Zara
Blazer-Zara
Shoes- UNIF Lost Sole Boots

Back in the cold cold weather of New York and since being back I've pretty much been cozying it up in my apartment because I don't think I'm quite ready to face the cold. There was a pretty terrible snow storm one day since being here so I went out the day after to snap these photos really quick before I froze to death. I never quite realized how many great Zara pieces I own in my closet and have yet to share here on the blog. The two clothing items I'm wearing in this post are possibly one of my favourites. I'm wearing a ribbed body hugging collared dress in dress with a oversized blazer, that has this sort of metallic checkered effect. I kept it pretty simple when accesorizing...with just light silver choker and tiny earrings that got covered with my hair. Since dying my hair to jet black, I've literally been unconsciously wearing a lot of either all black or black and white combinations....but lets be honest, you can't quite go wrong with black and white.
I read all your comments and appreciate them all so let me know what you think of this look.

As Long As You Know Who You Belong To

Hardy Sweater- UNIF
Tartan Skirt- Thrift
Shoe- Lost Sole Boots (Dollskill)

Shot this look a few weeks ago when it was fairly cold but warm enough to wear a tartan skirt. I have to say, my favourite part of this look has to be this gorgeous sweater from UNIF...they clearly make the best sweater hands down in my eyes. I love that it has this tattered grungy vibe to it but its pure white colour makes it flawlessly perfect for the winter. I decided to carry out the slightly grunge look by pairing the sweater with one of my favourite tartan skirt that I was lucky enough to score at the thrift store and I opted for my UNIF lost sole black boots to finish off this edgy yet girl look.
Right now, I'm actually at the airport waiting on my flight to head back home to Jamaica. I'm so excited to be going back to warmth and sunshine. I tried to shoot some cold weather looks before I left New York so I'll be sure to post those later on this week. Hope you all have a great week.

Emerald

Knit Sweater- Similar
Skirt- Similar
Shoes- Lost Sole Boots (UNIF)
Eagle Necklace- Nasty Gal

I'm usually never the person to wear colours light green, yellow or orange...I just always thought there were just weird colours that would never work into my closet. However, this emerald green sweater from H&M is such an exception. The pictures don't nearly do this sweater justice because up close and personal, it looks very metallic with a very rich and vibrate emerald green colour. I decided to accessorize with gold accents in jewelry, with the exception of my shoes that had a couple silver studs on them but who cares? its 2013...gone are the days when pairing gold and silver was a huge no no.
I wore this sweater with a black and white striped collared top, flared velvet skirt and some opaque tights. This is a very familiar combination that I wear a whole lot with little tweaks here and there. It's comfortable, easy and can be wore for several different occasions.

Symbolistic White Walls

Shorts- Chicnova
Oversized Faux Leather Vest- H&M
Shoes- UNIF Lost Sole Boots (Dolls Kill)
Cat Eye Necklace- Glow Worm Shop

Indoors for a change. I shoot this look awhile back and totally thought I had lost them then they suddenly appeared. New York is definitely too cold right now to wear this shorts no matter how cute they are however, with that been said, these shorts are the softest and ridiculously the most comfortable shorts I know. I got them from Chicnova and I just want to wear it everyday but I have to wait until I get to Jamaica in a couple weeks where its much more warmer. This look is my typical all black ensemble, with a loose tee slightly tucked into my shorts with a faux leather jacket, my oversized vest, sheer stockings and of course, comfy grunge inspired boots. I love playing with layering and mixing different weights of fabric is just perfection in my eyes because it tends to bring a lot more interest to an outfit and gives a look more depth and volume.

Shoe Lust

From left to right: Amaya by Miista , Fowley by Jeffrey Campbell , Colbalt Blue Velvet Creepers by T.U.K , Amaya in wild orange by Miista , Lost Sole Boot by UNIF , Buckled In by Irregular Choice , Scully Platform by Jeffrey Campbell , Leather Platform Shoes by Choies

So I thought it would be nice that for today, I share a collection of shoes that I've been eying for quite sometime. I love chunky boots and shoes that has some type of unique quality to it so I'm always on the look for unique shoe designs on the market. I've also been very fond of shoes with prints on it especially the collection of rose print shoes that Miista has produced recently! I mean...it's amazing 10x and the lucid heels just make them even more perfection. I know the odd one out of this "shoe drool collection is the Colbalt Blue creepers and that's really because I do need a new creeper because the black one I current have strangely got too big for my feet plus its not velvet! hahaha. I'm really just waiting on the black friday sale so I can scoop some of these up because at fully price, all of these shoes are basically my month rent here in New York..no joke. I probably just get two out of all of these, possibly one of the Amayas (I'm leaning towards getting in the black rose) and the Lost Sole boots (this may seem like an odd choice but I've been wanting these wayy before any of these shoes). Let me know what you think in the comments down below and have a happy Friday.
