Symbolistic White Walls

Shorts- Chicnova
Oversized Faux Leather Vest- H&M
Shoes- UNIF Lost Sole Boots (Dolls Kill)
Cat Eye Necklace- Glow Worm Shop

Indoors for a change. I shoot this look awhile back and totally thought I had lost them then they suddenly appeared. New York is definitely too cold right now to wear this shorts no matter how cute they are however, with that been said, these shorts are the softest and ridiculously the most comfortable shorts I know. I got them from Chicnova and I just want to wear it everyday but I have to wait until I get to Jamaica in a couple weeks where its much more warmer. This look is my typical all black ensemble, with a loose tee slightly tucked into my shorts with a faux leather jacket, my oversized vest, sheer stockings and of course, comfy grunge inspired boots. I love playing with layering and mixing different weights of fabric is just perfection in my eyes because it tends to bring a lot more interest to an outfit and gives a look more depth and volume.

Cloud Atlas

Tie Dye Top- Forever 21
Dropped Crotch Pants- Similar
Beanie- Urban Outfitters (Similar)
Purse- Nasty Gal

Over the weekend, I got a chance to relax and meet up with an old friend from back home. We mainly chilled around West Village area and visited a restaurant to indulge some yummy food. I love days like these when time seems to be moving slow and I don't have to think about any school assignments...at least once in awhile it's good to catch a breather and the weekends are perfect for that!
I love to dress laid back and easy breezy when it comes to dressing up on weekends. I wore my white dress shirt, layered under this really interesting oceanic blue tie dye printed top that actually has a cute tulip detail on the back which I unfortunately was unable to snap a picture of. Almost everything I wore  was very lightweight but still had a little winter/fall vibe going...especially since I wore a big fluffy white jacket to keep me warm throughout the day. I usually never wear this dropped crotch pants outside my apartment...in fact, I sleep in it! haha well, I somehow decided to dress it up a little because I really was more focused on the comfortability. I'm going to be doing a lot more photo diaries at least once a week so I can share a little of explorations in New York.

Dirty Little Secrets

Sharing a grey palette with silver accents from my jewelry

Dress- Evil Twin from Urban Outfitters
Shoes- UNIF Grail Platforms from Dolls Kill

You all are probably tired of seeing me in this color palette by now, and I will say I have  been so lazy these past few days... so anything that I can slip on quickly to rush to my classes I'm prettty much down for it and for some reason I always grab for the greyscale colors. In this post, I'm wearing this really cute dress from Evil Twin that has this slightly ragged look to it mainly because of its charcoal grey color, and the fact that it fits me like a little oversized dress. I thought of pairing this dress with a leather sleeveless vest but later on decided that it would possibly clash with the intricate texture of the dress  so, I opted for a chunky necklace to sit right on top of that rounded neckline. It was pretty winding when I wore this dress so I wore it with a thick dark stockings, which is perfect for days when it gets a little chilly and you don't want to wear pants. I finished off the look by adding some UNIF to the mix with my grail platforms that added some extra spice to the overall look. Tomorrow's my birthday and I couldn't be anymore excited for it to come, so if you want to get updates on what I'll be doing or wearing you can follow me on Instagram @marfarlane
