Remember You Like It Was Yesterday

Top- H&M
Shorts- Zara

My days in Jamaica are officially coming to a close, and I can honestly say that I this time coming back home has been really great for me personally. Captured even the smallest moment to carry back with me in my heart back to New York. Oddly, I've been wearing a lot of all black looks as its coming closer to the end of my trip...maybe I'm mourning the death of my Winter vacation, I suppose hahaha. Though I've been pairing up a lot of all black combinations, I still try to keep very light layers that will still allow me to enjoy the Island breeze while still containing a summer look for those who are afraid of colour. I've been wearing mostly flat shoes here because..it's kind of pointless walking around in my usual 6 inch platforms.
I miss New York a tad bit, surely not looking forward to getting back to the cold weather but we'll see how it all plays out.

Shorts- Nasty Gal
Shoes- Primus Blackbox by Jeffrey Campbell

Just a quick update on the kind of look I've been wearing a lot these past few days. It's getting much colder here in New York so I've been wearing a lot of sweatshirts over sheered long sleeved collared tops to keep me warm enough. I'm yet to start putting on any heavy weight pants to cover my legs because for one, it's not that extremely cold and two, I prefer wearing shorts, skirts or dresses any day over pants. So, for this look I wore my usually stockings with a black shorts and slipped on my newly found favourite pair of shoes by Jeffrey Campbell. These shoes took me like a day to break-in and is super comfy, yet gives me that oh so great grunge look that I seemingly always do. Anyways, I'm off to a busy days so enjoy yours!

Growing up in the Caribbean all my life up until I moved to New York last year, experiencing the drastic climate chance has never really been an issue for me mainly because it was basically summer all year round. Now that I'm living in NewYork, I never really thought that I'd actually enjoy seeing the leaves fall, wither and bounce back up again during the Spring. As much as I'm still not 100% use to the whole Fall/Winter season, I can say that I surely love witnessing the force of nature take over New York. I'm sure you all know this look too well as I've been pairing black on black a whole lot lately and I love it...especially when there's a pop of color incorporated. I wore my oversized knit sweater that has this really cool embroidered of the cross in a 90's inspired plaid, adding that grunge element that I love all too well. I chose to wear this sweater with my straight black dress and combat boots and later realized that there was a hint of bohemian inspo in there with the edgy 90s grunge element being the dominant feature of this whole look.
