Lots of volume up top with a very slender silhouette on the bottom. This is the type of silhouette I love doing during the Fall/Winter, I absolutely love when I can where a very oversized jacket/coat layered over a knit sweater and then just where a slender fit pant or skirt with black stockings... I just think its a beautiful combination. I wore this look last sunday and it was such a beautiful day to just where something effortless but still very classic and chic. The distressed sweater just adds that bit of that grunge element to this whole look and is also the result of it hitching onto something that ripped it...so I just ripped the rest of it with hopes that everyone else around me won't notice I guess. It kind of makes me want to buy UNIF's hardy sweater...love the concept of distressed knit sweaters (check it out here).

So this amazing military inspired jacket pretty much sums up the way I feel whenever I get dressed  up in each day and more than half the time I get these weird blatant stares from people especially when I wear my super high platforms, not only in New York but, even when I lived back in Jamaica and I simply don't care. I'm not sorry for who I am and I'm definitely not sorry for dressing the way I feel that's best for me to express myself... thats my speech for the day hahaha. Anyways, lets get to talking about what I'm wearing... clothes?? yeah! okay. 

I love a great black and gold combination so much that I'd literally wear it everyday if I could but, I thought it would be nice if I switched it up a little and add an odd pop of of unexpected colour and what better way to do that than to wear red stockings against the black and gold!? I was a little sceptic about pairing the red and navy blue of the military jacket because I've never really worn that combination before but I thought why not just give it a try right!? Into The Ocean...End It All

Finally, I've injected a splash of colour onto my blog again! I sincerely have no idea why I had such an off period and was wearing very dark colors every single day as you can see in my previous posts. I guess there's something about fall in New York that's making me what to constantly drag for dark tones. Anyways! I'm so happy to be wearing more colours again, specifically for this lovely fall season. There's something so special about royal blue that gets me feeling cozy and calm...it's a very bold colour and can easily brighten up an outfit, which is what I love the most about it. I was a bit cold that day so a cute chunky knit jumper was the prefect fall essential to keep me all warm and ready for the day. I paired this with a brocade shorts in an aztec print and to be honest, I haven't worn a print such as this in maybe three years but I certainly love the way this print specifically compliments the bright royal blue of the knit jumper. Once I decided on wearing royal blue, I knew for sure that I wanted incorporate gold accents, which would give the look of a vibrate and luxurious colour combination. 

The shoes I'm wearing in this post was actually birthday gift from my sister and if you've been following my blog from the beginning you'd know how much I had cherished the red and black coltrane boots I owned. Unfortunately, I had to take a break from wearing them so now that I have these new ones  I'm giving you a warning that you're surely going to be seeing a lot more from these! hahaha Hope you all have a wonderful week.
