Head's In The Cloud...My Gravity Centered

Boots- To Be Announced from Solestruck
Sweater- DIY

I'm loving everything about this look mainly because of the way I chose to layer two sweaters to create an interesting distressed idea. I basically wore a plain knit forest green sweater as the first layer then I wore my thin olive green sweater on top allowing room for the sweater underneath to show through. I don't have that  many sweaters so sometimes it gets a bit boring re wearing them over and over so I'm always seeking new way of styling them for a whole entirely different look. I wore my new favourite coat from Sammy Dress which is both very bold and comfy to wear. I love how the colour of the coat blends so well with the shades of green and the huge button details of it ties the overall look together so well. If you're ever looking for great affordable pieces including bags and accessories, definitely check out Sammy Dress

Coexist

YAY FOR DIY PROJECTS!

Steps:

Cold- Shoulder Tee- Zara + DIY
Sheer Pants- Forever 21
The Moody's Sunglasses- UNIF (Dolls Kill)
Bag- BCBG
Necklace- GlowWorm Shop

Who doesn't love DIY project!? I'm happy I finally get to share with you one of my DIY projects that is really quick and easy...all it takes it a scissors, curved edge (I used a french curve) and a sharpie or whatever thing that can make a mark. I'm always deconstructing & reconstructing my t-shirts because lets face the fact, sometimes it can get a little tiring wearing the same silhouette very often. I have a tons of all over print shirts so I'm always searching for new ways of wearing them without being too repetitive. This particular shirt is actually from Zara and believe it or not, it's from the male section of the store. Honestly, I thought that it was a pretty unisex all-over print shirt and I was so attracted to the confusing abstract print so why not? because I somehow always find myself attracted to the weirdest things in stores hahaha. I went for a more sleek and slightly bohemian inspired look which is perfect for walking around in the daytime.

White Noise

Super Hero Muscle Tee- Milky Way Clothing (Necessary Clothing)
Faux Leather Circle Skirt- Nasty Gal
Shoes- T.U.K Creepers (Journeys)
DIY Muscle Blouse
White Sunnies- Zero UV
Necklace- Street Fair
Tattoo Choker- The Cobra Shop

So you know how much I love wearing black and white looks and this was a totally unplanned black and white look I came up with last minute after being unable to find anything to wear that day. I've had this long sleeve white blouse with the faux leather collar for the longest time and I believe I only wore it once on the blog (Previous Post) and I didn't really like the fit of the sleeves at all. It was big and no matter how much I'd ironed it, it would still get so crushed really easily because it was always  wobbling all over the place so, because of that, it's been sitting in my closet ever since up until the day I decided to take a scissor and chop the sleeves off like I do with most of my tops with sleeve hahaha I'm evil. I have to say, I like the very imperfection of the way the sleeves were cut which gives it a very grunge feeling. I didn't want to button it up because I wanted to add something graphic underneath so what better way to do that, than to wear my super hero tee! To tight the look together, I wore my faux leather skirt to match the leather collar on the blouse. In other news, Google Reader is closing so I'd love if you could follow me on BLOGLOVIN please...I'm so appreciative of all the readers I've gained and I wouldn't want to lose you. Thank you!

Twisted Diamond Heart, I'm The Weekend Warrior

Hi-Lo Top- Forever 21
DIY Distressed Maxi Skirt
Vegan Leather Cowboy Vest- Thift
Shoes- Deandri Hansel Boots (Solestruck)
Sunglasses- Similar

A few weeks ago, I was wearing this maxi skirt while running errands at my internship, it was really windy that day so the bottom half of the skirt kept blowing up and snagging on things and after like the tenth time of it snagging, I heard the sound of a huge rip while I was walking in the middle of the street and it made a huge hole in the back of my skirt, which made so mad. Anyways, I just put on a good poker face and kept walking like I came out of my house with a torn up skirt. After that day, I decided I wanted to just rip the rest of the skirt up and give it an effect of a tattered and distressed skirt so I literally took the scissors and started cutting up the hem of the skirt and made two more holes at the back where the big rip was. I have to say, I really! love how well it came out and I couldn't be any happier with the results. I wanted to go for kind of an cowboy/hippie/punk inspired look so I paired this hi-lo cheetah print top with my cowboy vest which I've been obsessing over for the longest time, mainly because it has fringe and the quality is spectacular. With the colour of the vest, it helped to bring out the pop of colour in the blouse for a more interesting look. For a more grunge and punk look a added these pair of funky Deandri boots which worked well in complimenting the whole ensemble.

Revelation In The Light Of Day

Coral Top (wore as under blouse)- Vintage
Black Sheer Top-Tramp Clothing
Harley Vegan Leather Skirt- Joa
Shoes- T.U.K Creepers (Journeys)
Socks- Karmaloop
Sunglasses- Zero UV
Choker- DIY
Clock Necklace- Thrifted

When I first saw this amazing graphite about a month ago in Brooklyn, I thought to myself this is definitely going to be my new favourite place to snap my blog pictures so this is me...one month later, shamelessly taking photos on the sideway behind this amazing piece of work. I had the opportunity of meeting the owner and she was the sweetest person ever! The look I went for, has a very modern grunge hippie kind of aura about it. I collided two styles and blended them up into my own with the help of layer and playing with different fabric weights and accessories. The skirt I'm wearing is probably something I've wore a billion times here on the blog but, I'm not tired of it just yet so I had to come up with a way of styling it a totally different way. I wanted to give the illusion of a loose fitting oversized dress so I paired it with a coloured print top and overlaid the top with one of my favourite black sheer top from a brand called TRAMP. I love how the gold buttons on the black top, pops off beautifully against the pink of the skirt so i went ahead and accessorized with gold jewelry an the perfect hippie/circle sunnies. As I mentioned before in some post ago, I love matching my creepers with sock, especially if its a coloured or textured socks because it give it a nice quirky touch and helps to tight in the overall look.

The Hero In Me

Super Hero Muscle Tee- Milky Way Clothing (Necessary Clothing)
Striped Overall- No Boundaries
Shoes- Jeffrey Campbell Coltrane (Karmaloop)
Sunglasses- Zero UV
DIY Cloth Cuff Bracelet- From Scraps of Last Post

This is a look I wore while I was pretty much having a picnic at Central Park. It was so sunny and beautiful outside that there was no way I would stay inside my apartment. I wanted to capture that feeling of a throwback camping picture with a little bit of my spin to it. I wore this amazing muscle tee with a graphic super hero comic, I thought it was so clever and a perfect piece to mix and match. So, I went along with pairing it with a vintage striped overall which was actually way too big for me but I kinda just made it work and rolled the hem up because it was way too cool for me not to wear. I love how when I style these overall and muscle tee, that I instantly thought of this very retro sunglasses from none other than Zero UV.  It added a nice element in complimenting the outfit and tying everything together into the perfect Summer / Picnic outfit. I have so much more outfits to share this week so look out for that and thank you for visiting.
