No Excuse To Be Clueless

High Neck Crop Top- American Apparel
Tartan Skirt- Everland Clothing
Shoes- Deandri White Tequila (Solestruck)

The season of crop tops are coming to a close and I basically wanted to do another look that could be a great transition into the fall season, so why not get some inspiration from one of the best 90s chick flicks! "Clueless". I remember how much I use to have that show on replay and even now...about a week ago I snuggled in bed while watching it. There is soo much inspiration that one can get from that movie and I've already been so obsessed with 90s fashion (I'm a 90s babe!), so it's only natural that I became obsessed with this movie hahaha. I'm wearing Everland Clothing's tartan skirt which comes in a wide variety of colours but I was really attracted to the mix of purple and yellow plaid, so I gave it a shot. I paired this with a basic high neck crop top which is a very staple summer/fall transition top because you can always throw on the perfect biker jacket and in the summer you can just rock it as is. I'm working on a lot of new stuff for fall that I'm really excited about so thank you all for sticking with me during the summer and I hope you re-visit very soon.

Velvet Barbie

Evil Barbie Crop Top- Dolls Kill
Velevt Dress worn as a skirt- Forever 21
Shoes- Deandri Hansel from Solestruck
Earring- Nasty Gal

For a while, I've been waiting to share this barbie crop top but every time I came around to it something always came up. Couldn't be more happy to start off the beginning of the week with this post. I've been so in love with velvet for as long as I can remember so when I came across this dress in forever 21 a few weeks ago, I knew it was possibly heaven sent. There is something about velvet that captures both this very vintage feel and somehow reminds me of a creepy 90s vampire movie. Along with this look, came three different hairstyles...sorry I was literally being very indecisive. I had this whole idea to have a braided crown that I clearly did in the first picture!... but, then I decided I didn't like it as much as I did in my head so typically me had to change it two different times until I was like "whatever", ha. Anyways, enjoy this post! have a great week.

Weapon Of Choice

Sheer Floral Top-
Teen Dream Denim Jumper- Nasty Gal
Oversized Acid Wash Denim Jacket- Thrift
Shoes- Jeffrey Campbell Coltrane (Karmaloop)

I swore off from ever wearing any sort of overall ever again because it's not very comfortable to wear to me and it's also this huge trend right now which kind of makes me a litttle sick of seeing them however,  I have to say, the only pair of overall that I haven't sold to the thrift store yet is this really nice denim overall skirt which I absolutely adore! To break up the spaces of the blue of the overall, I added a dark skinny belt at the waist. Also, I decided to take a shot at a "denim on denim" look by wearing my new favourite acid washed jacket, which played as a contrasting shades of denim, complements the shade of the overall...I'm so happy it didnt come out looking like one huge clash of "denim in the circus" hahaha.  I chose to add a bright pop of red print against the shades of blue to lighten up the look a little and to give a more day time casual feel to the whole look.

Pressure On People...People On Streets

Earth Galaxy Tee- Bosroom
Shorts- Nasty Gal
Oversized Acid Wash Denim Jacket- Thrift

So if you're wondering if I took this jacket off since the first day I featured it here on the blog well think again because I've been glued! to this oversized jacket, especially now more than ever because it's been raining a lot here in New York and the jacket keeps me warm and cosy. I wore this outfit as a more casual look because, I was actually heading out for grocery shop right after and I like to be extra comfortable when I'm doing home duties. As you can see, I'm kind of back to my distressed sheer stockings look that I took a break from for awhile because I was wearing it so much but I realized I missed wearing them under my mini shorts, skirts or dresses so once in awhile I'll throw them on to add a different quality to an outfit. Oh and the title of this post is from one of my favoritee songs Under Pressure by Queen ft DAVID BOWIE!

Stir It Up

Bob Marley Tee- Similar
High-Waisted Denim Shorts- Newcomdigi
Cowboy Vegan Leather Vest- Thrift
Sunglasses- Gypsum Style

Just updating with a quick outfit post that I wore on the weekend to meet up with some friends to pretty much chill in Soho. On the weekends I like to wear clothes that are very casual and easy to wear depending on what I'm doing. This shorts is something I haven't been able to keep my hands off because its so perfect for summer hot weather and I can wear it with anything for days when I feel like dressing very laid back. I added something that has become sort of a signature for me on the blog and that is, adding a graphic tee, just to spice up the outfit a little and what better graphic tee to wear than a Bob Marley tee!? I can't wait to go back home next month to buy a ton more Bob Marley tees. I have lots of new outfit post coming up very soon and a possible GIVEAWAY! so please re visit if you want to take part.

Smells Like Teen Spirit

Top- FCUK
Dark Acid Skater Skirt- Nasty Gal
Oversized Acid Wash Denim Jacket- Thrift
Shoes- T.U.K Creepers (Journeys)

You all know how much I love my 90s grunge looks and even though my two previous posts were two different kind of styles , it just shows how mixed up and diverse my style can be. In this post, I'm wearing one of my newest thrift finds, which I can't seem to take off! This acid light washed denim jacket is my new found love and it's literally one of the most comfortable jackets I've ever owned. There is just something so special and cool about oversized jackets that you can just drown into but still look very cool and effortless. I also wore very loose fitting clothes with this jacket because during the summer, I don't like to feel my clothes sticking onto my body, so its either a loose graphic tee and shorts , a sheer light-weight top with a skater skirt or lightweight summer dresses here and there. For this look, I went with this really cool top from French Connection UK that I've had for sometime now but wasn't sure what I'd want to style it with because it's one of those tops that can be transitioned from day to night depending on what you choose to wear it with. The bead work that went into this top is amazing and really intricately placed and I think that's what attracted me the most to it. For some contrast I decided to add another acid wash tone into the outfit combination through my skirt but, I opted for a more darker tone so that the denim jacket could make the rest of the outfit pop.
