This is last post I took while in Jamaica last week..I chose to wear something completely different from what I'm use to. A jumpsuit! this is literally the first jumpsuit I've ever worn mainly because I can never find any that fits my body perfectly. There was still some imperfections with this one that I'm wearing because it was just wayy too long and sort of dragged on the floor but I didn't really care about that too much mainly because I was on vacation and the print of the suit itself is just plain gorgeous.

The part which I love the most is the cut out details of the back, it really gives this jumpsuit a nice touch since the construction design at the front is pretty simplistic. I added a touch of silver jewelry as accents to this overall look and flat sandals for a nice stroll around the area.

If I were to wear this jumpsuit again here in New York, I definitely need to adjust the length or I'd probably trip over somebody in the streets and I'd also pull my hair back into a neat ponytail. 

I'm glad I took this short trip back home because it had really opened my eyes to finally let go of situations that I had no control over and it's part of the reason I've been in a funk in terms of shooting looks. However, I'm back to shooting again in New York, and I have lots of looks coming up very soon so stay tuned for that.

So I hate using the phase "business casual" because it could have such a broad meaning and can get very confusing. However, I'd like to think of this look as a more casual attire that is the perfect amount of "dressed up" while still being very laid back. I love men's inspired looks so sometimes in my outfits, I'll take inspiration from men's garments and twist it in a way that works well for me.  I also managed to pull my hair back in a sleek bun, mainly because I was feeling too lazy to deal with it, but it ended up coming out good surprisingly. I'll most likely wear a look like this to my internship or simply just to school, the latter was what I actually did. 

To make this look less "serious", I added jewelry of course. I wore both my favourite choker and a gypsy inspired silver necklace that I randomly bought in an NY boutique while cruising around the city. I'll be doing a full jewelry post very soon as requested, and I also have a giveaway coming up so stay tuned for that!

Blogspiration

I've finally got around to sharing some "blogspiration" here, which I've always wanted to, but for some I kept delaying it. Let me first say that these pictures are NOT owned by me and they're just photographs of editorials, throwback 90s and some other pictures that I've documented on my laptop from tumblr. Before I started a personal style blog, I was pretty much tumblr obsessed and that's where I'd store all my reference photos for some inspiration (My Tumblr). All the photographs above are just images that capture a little bit of everything my personal style is about. I usually don't like to putting a stamp on what my style is, because I feel like its always changing as I get older. However, the grunge, the hippie, the cycledelic and the eclectic have all played a huge roll in what my style has become. Coming from Jamaica and moving here in New York has definitely transformed what my style is... to an extent. I remember walking around back home it five different color combinations with bright blue stockings like nobody's business and I think its safe to say that is was just the fun colourful aspect of what my style was to become as I grew older. For sure,  it's going to be interesting to see how much I will evolve years to come. I'm glad I got to share this with you and I'll be back to regular posting tomorrow. Thanks for visiting!
