Prior Lost Sorrows

If it could be Summer forever, that would make my life so much better. I think the most I'll miss about the Summer is the fact that I could step outside my apartment bare legged in short shorts and not give a care in the world because I won't have to face the cold wind rushing across my skin.

Vintage rings will forever be an obsession of mine, especially silver ones that overtime the under layer of copper begins to show through, giving a very rusty vibe which I love….it gives a little character to the jewelry in my opinion.

Possibly the most comfortable boots I've own in awhile. These was my best purchase of the Summer as I can't take them off my feet and they'll literally become a uniform to my attire for classes.

Draped Necklace- Guess

A lot of my post from now will literally be mostly grey combinations, mainly because I've become completely obsessed with wearing and buying any piece of clothing that's grey. That's possible the main reason I've also slowed down in blogging as my person style is changing drastically and for some reason I'm starting to hate everything in my closet. Maybe it's just a phase but either way, I'm going through a bit of a revamping of closet (late spring cleaning).

For this look I chose to pair a basic ribbed top to be worn with my favourite pair of shorts that I've style several times here on the blog. I wanted to do a subtle mixing of prints, so I wore my airy abstract floral top and styled it as cardigan for a extra layer to give depth to the look. I went a bit heavy on the jewelry since there was such a light aura to the way I paired each piece of clothing. Of course, no look could be complete with a great pair of black boots and my usual messy hair.

Also, I wanted to invite you all to join in on entering a giveaway from one of these three beautifully and rather detailed necklaces shown above. I know for sure I can swear by Michal Golan jewelry because all their pieces are literally perfection! All you have to do to enter is like Michal Golan on Facebook  then click this link>> Michal Golan to enter all your information for a chance to win this amazing prize. The winner will be selected on September 7th 2014 at 11:59 EST and will be notified through your email address provided during your entry. GOODLUCK!

Living In A Quirky World

Top- SUNO x Uniqlo
Transparent Choker-Shop Lock Hart
Draped Chain- GUESS

Happy Monday everyone! hope you all had a great weekend...I certainly had a fulfilling one, between going thrift shopping for the first time in Brooklyn and meeting up with some old friends from back home in Jamaica. The outfit is above is one I wore the day I went thrift shopping. I woke up feeling like  one of the Spice Girls obviously hahaha, I know my hair is a little different from what your use to seeing but, I wanted to sort of experiment a little and try out different styles so I did this playful Mickey Mousesque hairstyle by just wrapping two small buns at both sides of my head. I wanted to do my whole hair like that but I have really thick hair and there was no way I could get my hair to cooperate with me. As for the outfit, I went a little softer and a tad bit quirky. I've been wanted to hair this top on my blog for the longest time but somehow it's always being left out, It's one of the pieces from the SUNO x Uniqlo collaboration and I can't begin to express how much I love this top. I love how they mixed vertical pin stripes with these small beach sand like/leaf motif...it's so cool to me personally and I know I'm going to have a blast styling it. I decided to pair it with another amazing piece, this cutesy asymmetric denim skirt. Overall, I enjoyed doing the shoot for this look and wearing the outfit was very fun too and very different from the looks I usually wear.

These Fragments Of Time

Ying Yang Muscle Tee- Necessary Clothing
Shorts- Nasty Gal
Plaid DIY Muscle Shirt- Urban Planet (over 5 years ago)
Shoes- T.U.K Creepers (Journeys)
Sunglasses- Similar
Draped Chain- Guess

A few days ago I was on Tumblr scrolling through some 90s throwbacks and endless soft and hardcore grunge pictures and I got so many inspirations for outfits I could recreate into my own. I wanted a full on look that would scream 90s! so I went digging in my closet for this plaid collared shirt which I knew for sure I wanted to wear but, it was long sleeved and way too hot outside for me to even attempt to wear. So, I did what I do to majority of my shirts.... I took a scissors and cut the arms off hahaha sounds brutal, but I don't regret it because it gave me a whole new shirt that looks very grunge / hill billy (like in Larry The Cable Guy), but in a much more fashion forward way. Of course, it wouldn't be a perfect grunge look without pairing it with sort of an all black ensemble and distressed sheer stockings. My sunglasses is one I've had for awhile but never came across the perfect outfit for me to wear it with...it pretty much adds a retro vibe and also gives the whole 90s grunge look a more modern/edgy attitude.
