Play

Playing with earthiness for a nice comfy Fall look.

TurtleNeck Sweater- Forever 21
Draped Jersey Top- Necessary Clothing (Similiar)
Shearling Vest- Similar
Das Boots- UNIF
Necklace- Handmade in Jamaica

Sharing this quick post of a look I wore some weeks ago that I absolutely loved. I was back to wearing my 6 inch platforms and plying light layers for a cozy look. Earth tones always look so warm and inviting to me so I suppose that's why I naturally fell in love with this combination.

Since it was a bit chilly outside, I wore my turtle neck sweater and layered it with this beautiful draped tunic top that had a cool knot in the front. I usually always go for structured pieces so this tunic top was a pleasant change for me. Every since I bought it, I've been pairing it so many ways...who knew it could be this versatile. To complete the look I threw on some comfy black pants from Zara and the most comfortable vest ever! I chose to style the overall look with complimentary jewelry and my Das Boots from UNIF for a slightly edgy vibe.

Have an awesome weekend!

Circle Of Life

The Animals Sunset Print Sweatshirt- Romwe
Velveteen Skirt- Chicwish
Radioactive Snake Bag- Nasty Gal
Shoes- UNIF Das Boots

Back at it again with one of my favourite combos...velveteen skirt, high socks, floppy hat and a nice chunky sweatshirt. I seriously am so in love with all the sweatshirts that Romwe has recently released on their website and if there was someway I could purchase them all without compromising my bank account then I'd definitely buy every single one of them! Their sweatshirts are super cozy and easy to wear but most of all, they have the most amazing prints on them that is always ridiculously beautiful. The sweatshirt I'm wearing in this post is perhaps one of my favourites from them, it reminds me so much of the 'Lion King' and the way all the color blend so seamlessly together makes it such an amazing piece. I decided to pair this with a red wine velveteen skirt, that add a bit of texture to this look and really helps make the whole look come alive. I also decided to dust off my good ol' purple floppy hat from last fall and rock that hat like nobody's business of course ha. Now that I'm looking back on it, the hat really compliments the look along with my awesome bag that I received as a gift for my birthday. Anyways, have such a long day ahead of me and midterms are killing the life out of me, but I'll be fine. Have a great week.

Helena Beat

Shoes- UNIF Das Boots

Since being back in New York, I've been dressing a lot laid back and freakishly different from a usual crazy grunge or hippie inspired looks. Not sure why, I guess at times my style turns a whole 360 at random times. However, I decided to share one of the more casual and laid back looks that I've been wearing all week since being back in the big city. I don't know if you notice, but I rarely wear jeans pants...(fun fact) I actually hate them. Why? well for one, ever since I was younger they've given me crazy rashes for some strange reason so as a replacement I basically where imitations or just regular cotton pants. These that I'm wearing are are super comfy and easy to move around in, which is perfect for me because I like my clothes to be comfortable. I changed it up by wearing platforms and a mix of questionable print combinations....come on, what did you expect? you expected to see a 100% normal casual look?

Pulsating To The Back Beat

Egyptian Print High Neck Crop Top- New Look
Plaid DIY Muscle Shirt
Corduoroy Pants- Uniqlo
Shoes- UNIF Das Boots (Dolls Kill)
Quay Sunglasses- Nasty Gal

I've always been the type of person to clash to different prints that perhaps weren't meant to be together but, I somehow always find a way to make it work. The outfit in the post is a clear example of my little outfit experimentation. A few weeks ago I came across this Europe based online store called New Look  and I wanted to literally buy everything! They have pieces for women and men varying from all different personal style and the prices are super affordable for someone who is working on a budget, plus they're always having sales. Though I'll be browsing through and shopping there more often as a first try I bought two high neck crop tops, which is something I've been searching for the longest time so when I saw that they carried them with all different styles, I knew that this was going to be my favourite place hahaha. Usually, I'd go for maybe a skater skirt look with this top but, I decided to go with pants and platforms because it was super windy that day and I didn't really want to deal with having a Maryln Monroe moment. Thankfully, I don't think anyone can go wrong with wearing pants and platforms.

'Cause It's A Bittersweet Syphony

Black and White Cross Tunic- Forever 21
Maxi Dress- Vintage
Socks- Karmaloop

Several days ago, I woke up wanting to dress like a life sized grunge barbie so I put together an outfit that was juxtaposing between two styles. My inital intentions were to just were this bright magenta maxi dress buttoned up with the UNIF Das boots, but I remember that I had previously styled a look similar to that about a few months ago (The Look). So, I decided to change it up a bit and use the dress more like a cape/cardigan and paired it with one of my favourite tunics that I literally can't get enough of. I added the colorful 'paint dripping' socks as another pop colour to go against the darkness of the shoes and tunic...I love how very mysterious and playful this look came out...a soft grunge barbie I say hahaha. I've been sorta getting back into wearing a lot more colors here and there by adding them as pop colours to compliment an outfit. I have a lot more looks coming up this week so please re visit to check that out and you can follow (My Instagram) for real time updates.

Three In One

The Overhead View Is Of Me In A Maze

Sunlight, Sunshine, All For You My Daisy : Black and White Daisy Bralette and Skirt- Forever 21 /  Blazer- Forever 21 / Shoes- Deandri Hansel (Solestruck) / Sunglasses- Yoko Sunnies (Gypsum Style) / Belt- Vintage / Transparent Spiked Choker- Fitchbace

Made A Stripe Like A Zebra, I Call That Jungle Fever : Cropped Top- Necessary Clothing / Shoes- UNIF Indigo Hellbound (Solestruck) / Socks- American Apparel / Rainbow Tattoo Choker- The Cobra Shop

The Overhead View Is Of Me In A Maze : Midi Skirt- ASOS / Fringe Kimono- H & M / Shoes- UNIF Das Boots (Dolls Kill) / Web Necklace- Necessary Clothing / Black Tattoo Choker- The Cobra Shop

I bought this daisy bralette and matching skirt a few months ago but I wanted to share them a little different by capturing several ways of wearing it instead only as a matching combination. I pretty much realized afterwards that I ended up capturing three different aspects of my personality and I thought that was really cool and sort of shows how one day I can wear something very dark and grungy and the next day I just want to have fun and dress crazy. The first look basically is how I'd typically wear the bralette and skirt together. I went all the way grunge with the outfit by pairing it with my favourite shoes, (the deandri hansel) and of course I had to some how incorporate my spike choker. The second look is a much more laidback look where I paired the daisy skirt with a simple crop tee. It basically shows how you can break up the whole "black and white" look and go for more of a summer pops of color.  For the last look, I actually thing is a much more far reached look that I probably don't do very often but, it's pretty much screams sex appeal, sultry and unforgiving which is kind of what I love the most about it. I think any pencil skirt with a body hugging fit is sure to draw some eye grabbing attention if that's what you're going for. Overall I'm really happy with the way all three looks turned out  and it was fun sharing three ways of styling a look, especially if you're on a tight budget.
