Faux Leather Asymmetric Skirt-Romwe

Nothing like a mini faux leather skirt. I wore this outfit around the beginning of November when it wasn't as cold as it is now. I'm honestly not quite a fan of the asymmetric skirt trend and I literally cringe at the site of the Zara versions that almost everyone and their grandmother owns....lol However, I somehow got drawn to this one from Romwe and decided to actually give it a try. Unfortunately, I overestimated the sizing so it was wayy to big for me, so I solved the problem by just wearing a belt to keep it in place. I wore it with a lightweight sweater tucked into the skirt and my favourite plaid blazer. Of course, I had to fit my hat somewhere in there because hats have literally become to go to when it comes to figuring out what to do with my hair.

I remember last fall so clearly, when for the first time I had to go out and shop for coats and jackets or pretty much anything with thick long sleeves that could keep me warm. This black and white tweed blazer was one of the few items I picked up during the last fall season and it's possibly one of those pieces that is pretty much timeless. I personally am not the biggest fan of tweed at all however, when I came across this Ann Taylor jacket/blazer the fact that it was tweed didn't quite bother me so much because the black and white contrast into a plaid print just instantly made me what to purchase and experiment with styling it.
For this particular look, I paired the blazer over a light weight knit sweater that has a slight peplum waist and a navy flared mini skirt. This overall look kind of comes off as a good girl/ bad girl/ preppy girl vibe which I definitely like! I kept it pretty simple when it came to accessorizing, so I just wore my high socks, my favourite choker and a few delicate bracelets and rings and top it all off.

I absolutely love when I do all black looks, especially when there is some texture added to it that makes it just a little more interesting. As much as this is a look I love a lot, it's pretty much my usual attire so it's kind of one of my more boring looks...at least to me. But no worries I have a lot more great looks coming up later on this week. I don't have much to say, other than HAPPY 4TH! go eat and party it up and go to work with a hang over the next day hahaha.
