Power Trip

Just another day, layering to keep me warm and comfy on cold days.

Shearling Matte Jacket- Similar
Blue Biker Jacket- Similar or (here)
Embroidered Sweater- H&M
Trousers- Zara

It's funny to think that there are areas of my closet that are actually filled with coloured items which I neglect 95% of the time and then an all black section that is like my baby. However, once in awhile i like to dip into the coloured section and chose one stand out color to vibe with for the day.
If you've remembered any of my previous post from last Fall, I was absolutely obsessed with this bright royal blue biker jacket and still can't quite get over how much I love it.
I love rich colours that are able to enhance a look completely and this is exactly what I wanted for this look. I wore this ensemble this past weekend and honestly, I just wanted to walk around Brooklyn and get some fresh air. So, I literally just pulled out the quickest thing I could put together without looking crazy and then there was the birth of this look.

Icebreaker

Dress- Motel Rocks
Kimono- Vintage
Dolman Coat- H&M
Biker Jacket- Nasty Gal

Wearing loads of layers today on the blog. It isn't getting any warmer here in NY so I have to constantly come up with new creative ways to styling from my wardrobe and still be able to feel warm and comfortable.... this look is an example of that. I believe I featured this beautiful dress from Motel about a few months ago but back then, it was pretty warm and sunny so I thought I'd rework the styling and incorporate it in a more Winter inspired look. I don't think I can quite remember how many layers I was wearing, I just know that I had around two thermal blouse and a high collared blouse underneath the dress. Along with those, I wore my favourite boho fringe kimono that doesn't quite play a role in me being warm but just added an extra touch of a bohemian/rocker vibe.  Of course a biker jacket would have been in the mix of it all and this perfect one from Nasty Gal did just the trick. I didn't really go too hardcore on accessorizing mainly because there was already so many element in the look already.
I had a very relaxing weekend just sketching and getting some work done, I hope you all had a great weekend as well. Thanks for visiting my blog, I have lots of looks coming up this week so stay tuned for those.

Paint A Picture Of A Perfect Place

Cape- H&M
Shorts- Zara
Top- Nasty Gal
Blazer- Vintage
Necklace & Earring- Nasty Gal

Sunny but still a cold day. When I had put this look together, I never really thought that this slightly odd tobacco brown colour would pair well against the pale pink of my top. It's not quite the colour palette that I'd wear on a regular basis however, I think the combination of the two came out quite lovely. I've had this blazer for such a long time and it suddenly reappeared in my closet out of nowhere so, naturally I had to put it to good use and layering it under a big coat...or like in this post where I layered in under a black cape. It's friday and I'm so happy this stressful week of classes is finally over so I can relax and rejuvenate for this weekend...maybe visit a few galleries around the area. I wish you all a great weekend and thanks so much for all the positive comments!

Conspire To Ignite

Velvet Blue Top- Forever 21
Green Oversized Jumper- Necessary Clothing
Tube Dress (wore as a skirt)- BCBG
Hat- Bebe
Kitti Shades- Zero UV
Hazel Eye Necklace- Glow Worm Shop

One of the things I love the most about Fall, is there you can basically take a lot of the things you wore during the summer and just layer it up with the possibility of transforming a whole different look. It's really about approaching your wardrobe in an entirely different way by finding a unique way of mixing and matching separates that would otherwise be 'stand alone pieces' if it were in the summer. Ever since got this blue velvet top, I've really have been making the most of it and constantly incorporating in different outfit ideas. I decided to share one of my favourite looks from out of the many ways I've styled it. This is a very relaxed bohemian meets grunge vibe, that makes the perfect outfit for lunch with friends, shopping or if you decided to go for a little walk around the city. I layered it with this cozy olive jumper  and later realized how great the olive green and the royal blue of the velvet top complimented each other once they were layered. Of course, I had to throw in my big wool hat because it simply completes the overall aura of this outfit and the perfect sunglasses can never really go wrong. Thanks for visiting and hope you like this styling as much as I do.

Sweet Disposition

All-Over Printe Tee- Forever 21
High Neck Crop Top- Top Shop
Black Mini Dress- Thrift
Socks- Karmaloop
Collar Harness- Deandri

This collar harness, has quickly become my favourite go to thing to wear because I really love how weird and grungy it looks and you already know how much I love with wear my o-ring, so this harness from Deandri is literally a step up from my o-ring. I wanted to do an all black ensemble with this peak of colours popping out randomly and I know you must be thinking if I was hot under all the layering but I can honestly say wasn't, because I wore a light tee and layered it with a thin high neck cropped top then I layered this loose fitting black dress and the look ended up coming out like some type of fashion gladiator in heels. I chose to wear some "fun socks" with this bright blue wedges that I have no memory of where it came from because I bought it such a long time ago and probably only wore it like once.  All together, I love how eclectic the styling of this outfit came out. Have a wonderful week! and don't forget to enter the current giveaway that I'm hosting>>>here

Trapped In Squares

High Neck Black Crop Top- American Apparel
Geometric Long Sleeved Blouse- Forever 21
Shorts- Forever 21
Shoes- T.U.K Creepers (Journeys)

I've been wanting to share this look for the longest time here on the blog, but every time I decide to...I can't find it anywhere in my archives. I know its summer and perhaps wearing faux leather isn't ideal for some people but for me, I say as long as your comfortable just go with it. I really love this faux leather metallic light green shorts that I've been wearing a lot with different combinations. There is just something interesting about the color and I love how to pops against the darkness of my top. As I said before on a post earlier, I use to love layering a lot and I've recently started to layering a bit more now but in a totally different way than I use to. I've been pairing a lot of long sleeved sheer tops and leaving it open to show the blouse underneath. I choose to wear a blouse underneath that isn't going to make me burn in heat and the top on wear over it is usually sheer so it eliminates heat especially since it's now  Summer time.
