Hazey

Just sharing a quick post of this look I wore a couple weeks ago. I was coming from a long day of classes and the walk to my apartment from school is was cold but somehow very sunny. I was dressed very casual in a bright blue jumper and dark pants with my coltrane boots. This is pretty much the way I dress on a lazy day, especially whenever I have morning classes. I have so much to get done today so, I'm off! Enjoy your day

Burnout Velvet

Graphic Tee- Zara
Shorts- Thrift
Burnout Velvet Kimono- Vintage

There's something about burnout velvet that makes me feel warm and fussy inside but I can't seem to quite put my finger on what it specifically. So, if you've been following my blog, from past posts I've shared a lot of combination velvet looks mainly because I'm obsessed with anything velvet so naturally,  I went into this vintage boutique here in Manhattan and instantly fell in love with this lovely black burnout velvet kimono. I feel like a piece such as this is so rare to find and the quality is amazing. This look could have easily turned into an all white look with touches of grey however, I incorporated this kimono into the mix to add texture and slight volume... plus, it was a little chilly. This look is a pretty easy going/casual attire that's great for going pretty much going anywhere except a catholic church..ha. What better way to accessorize than to wear my vintage necklace that I've own for ages now and still manage to have it in good condition after all these years...sadly I have no idea where or how I got it, but it's definitely a great statement piece.

Black Treacle

Top- Thrift
Shoes- Grail Platforms by Unif (Dolls Kill)

Lately I've been doing a lot of all black combinations even though it's pretty much still summer but I guess that sometimes my mood translates in the colours I chose to wear? Anyways, this is a more of a casual look using the classic all black look and pairing it with the perfect shade jeans pants. It's been a while since I've worn this bolo hat and I think I forgot how much I love it and how much of compliment it can be to an outfit so, I'm definately thinking of featuring more of my hats here on the blog (let me know). These UNIF grail platforms has also been an instant go-to shoes for me as well because not only is it made with perfection but it's also great to pair with both pants, skirt or shorts....and I absolutely love that sort of versatility. I hope you all have a great weekend and I can't wait to continue sharing more great looks for you.
