Everything In Its Right Place

Brooklyn days in a cozy sweater and shorts.

Sweater- H&M
Shorts- Similar
Boots- H&M
Hat- Similar

I had so much fun shooting this look because it's been awhile since I've worn shorts for this Fall season, main reason being that I get cold so easily and putting on pants always seems like a major go-to move for me. I went out around Williamsburg here in Brooklyn sporting this comfy emsemble one weekend and didnt realize how much I love these boots until now. I've literally had this pair for awhile now and couldn't quite decide what to style them with but so many ideas are now starting to float through my head and ways I could wear them for this Fall.
For this look, I chose to pair them with this awesome ribbed sweater (that I was scared of looking like a "Christmas sweater") and light grey pleated shorts for a quick and easy daytime look that you can wear for brunch, shopping or just hanging with friends.

I hope you like this quick post and be sure to tune in on my blog tomorrow for when I announce the giveaway! Have a great day!!

Friction

Fall is here! and the days are starting to get much cooler…I'm currently in the process of packing out all my fall/winter wear yet, I'm so sad the Summer had to end. Featuring this simple go-to look for one of my days when I want to wear something easy.

Knit Sweater- Lumiere from Necessary Clothing
Pants- Zara
Boots- Zara

I absolutely love days like these where I can throw on a nice comfy oversized sweater, black skinnies and a good pair of boots…I live for these very urban/bohemian aesthetics. I think I previously mentioned that I've been having a slight obsession with wearing different shades of grey so, the more this obsession grows, the more I find new ways of styling and working my way around it so that the look doesn't become overly repetitive. For this look I wore a lot of neutral tones so with a slight pop of navy in the boots and green in my jewelry, I was able to come up with a look that was well balanced.

I'm excited to post a lot of my upcoming Fall looks because I have so many ideas in mind plus a lot of new pieces piled up in my wardrobe thats dying to be worn haha.

Walking Dreamer

Black and lace has always been such a go-to look for me…whether during the Summer, Fall or Winter. One weekend in Brooklyn I decided to go for a dark witchy look, with enough chiffon pleats and a feminine aura.

I almost never wear midi length skirts because it can sometimes come off a bit awkward looking on me but, when I found this skirt about a month ago in Forever 21 I was pretty surprised that the length didn't bother me as much…its slowly becoming one of my favourite piece in my closet.

Lace Top- Nasty Gal
Pleated Skirt- Forever 21
Boots-Zara

Though I'm currently revamping my style and closet, this was a look I wore few weeks ago while prancing around Williamsburg in Brooklyn. It was very sunny yet I'm not quite sure what possessed me  to wear a full on black attire. However, the fact that everything I had on was very lightweight and airy, made it so much easier for me to go through the day without sweating like a pig.

I kept it pretty low key on the accessories because I really wanted the beauty of the lace to speak for itself rather than overpowering everything with loads of jewelry. So since I had a bit of a low cut top, it was only right to add a bit of a statement piece around my neckline as the main accessory.
Anywhos, I'm back to being super busy as I'm back in school again, finishing up my BFA p.s I already got a bolt load of homework!
For any of my followers back in school, wishing you the best of luck and thanks for visiting!

Parallel Sustainance Of Hurt

My typically casual weekend look consists of: a panama hat, loose top, statement jewelry, whatever bottom seems comfortable at the time and comfy/cute shoes.

Top- Forever 21
Pants- Zara
Shoes- Miista Ivy from Solestruck
Grey Panama Hat- Sole Society
Necklace- Vintage

It's Friday and I couldn't be any more happier that the weekend is here for me to relax, have some fun and have regrets the morning after.
You'll rarely ever find me wearing denim pants or tight legged pants overall but, occasionally out of nowhere i'll throw on a good pair of pants and hit the road especially if it's a more casual day out. Funny enough, the pants I'm wearing in this look are these army green ones that I've been wearing a whole lot since I bought them at Zara…they're really comfortable and can easily be paired with many things. I stuck to my comfort zone of wearing a black baby doll top with my huge vintage necklace that  I've literally had for years (4 years) but never actually worn them out until now.

With the perfect pair of boots and one of my favourite hats, my look was complete and ready to take on a fun filled day in Brooklyn. I actually went to a free concert after snapping these photos…it was kind of lame but I guest you get what you pay for..in my case, I paid nothing hahaha. I hope you all have a great weekend!

We'll Sleep Until The Sun Goes Down

Introducing a vey different colour combination that I've never really tried before. It took me awhile to get out of my usual all black combination and don't get me wrong, I still love a good all black attire. However, for the summer I'm trying to experiment with different colours (nothing too crazy) but just enough to bring somethign new to the table.

I'm obsessed with turquoise jewelry and this one that I'm wearing was bought back when I lived in Jamaica...I definitely cannot wait to go back and find some new unique handmade pieces. The belt I'm wearing is actually a vintage belt with turquoise stones embedded into golden melt...very cool concept, thank to my mother (I love raiding her closet).

Skirt- Similar
Boots- Zara
Fringe Kimono- Similar or here
Necklace- bought in Jamaica
Belt- Vintage
Hat- Similar

I still feel a little weirded out wearing a bralette top...I have no clue why, maybe because I'm not quite use to showing so much skin so that's why the kimono came in great handy to make me feel a little more comfortable. I've had this top in my closet for the longest time and was so hesitant to actually wearing outside but a fostered up the courage and paired it with the cutest floral mini skirt. What makes the Summer season so fun is the fact that you can be creative with colour combinations and step a little out of your comfort zone..for me, it was super hot on this day and my option was to either wear the outfit in this post or a very loose fitting lightweight dress (something I've been wearing almost everyday). I love that the look has such a bohemian quality and isn't too serious but a fun daytime look.
